"He sent Lavrov to do his job. I would like to praise Rishi Sunak for saying how things are and openly criticizing Russia and Putin," he concluded.
They have been saying this since Feb, what's changed?

Wouldn't surprise me. Even if Putin said that Kherson is "forever Russian", they will still shell the city because the residents basically told Russia the same thing the Ukrainian sailors told the Russian warship to go do, so now they will shell the city to rubble, because there is nothing else they can do.
Don't see the point though, it's a huge waste of shells and money, and it sure as hell won't convince the Ukrainians that they made a mistake, or anything. It will just strengthen their resolve and their hate towards anything Russian.
