The new commander of Russian forces in Ukraine, Sergei Surovikin, gave a major interview that was broadcast by the Russian state news agency TASS.

I think that by now, the Ukrainians have shown that they are not "one nation" and that they are ready to fight and die for their homes, their families and their country against a foreign invader. This is why they are winning this war, not just because they are being armed with state-of-the-art equipment from the West.
Russia needs to stop this madness. They are killing civilians and destroying civilian infrastructure, throwing their own young boys into the meatgrinder for nothing, pumping enromous resources into a war that they are losing and cannot really afford and also losing huge amounts of qualified and educated citizens in the form of a braindrain of professionals to countries like Georgia, Serbia, Armenia, Turkey and the Central Asian republics.
It's over, Putin, and no "General Armageddon" will change that.
