I think all the previous comments are confusing.

The fact is, that Serbia, under its monarchy, had great relations with Great Britain. What has happened since then, may be questionable.

But no doubt Elizabeth II had a sense of loyalty and gratitude for that former relationship.
We are talking about monarchies here, which often transcend politics, especially in the more modern world, where parliaments set the course, not Kings or Queens.

Nevertheless, monarchies have been around a long time, some good, some bad.
And in many countries they still mean something.
