I here what you’re saying about healthy democracies, what I don’t here is your criticism of Russia for shutting down all major public media that contradict Putin’s version of “Reality”.
Are we to assume you approve of double standards as long as they conform to your version of “Reality”. You are simply holding the U.S. and NATO to a higher standard than Putin’s “Utopia”.
Petty and self-defeating would best describe the banning of the aeroplane taking the Russian Foreign Minister to Serbia from NATO airspace. Petty, because diplomacy usually wins more hearts and minds than hostile actions, especially when the need for channels of 'jaw jaw' are greater than ever. Self-defeating just like the banning of RT media in Western countries undermined the argument that the content was Kremlin propaganda. In a healthy democracy, people should have access to a variety of information and news sources, not just the ones that NATO or the EU grandly think are permissible for the proletariat.
