Serbias political elite keep on saying Serbia is on the way to the EU, but nobody believes it or thinks its gonna happen. By claiming Serbia wants EU membership the country gets favourable trade terms, billions in foreign investments, the odd grant, etc.
If and when the EU offers Serbia membership there will be a referendum. And everyone knows that the majority will vote NO.
So its just a game that suits everyone for now.
But lets see how good EU membership has been for Croatia.......
Your masters are in Brussells and Berlin. You cant go to the toilet without asking first if its ok.
Croatia has lost nearly a quarter of its population since EU membership.....FACT.
Croatia is the OAP hotspot of Europe where the educated, young and able have gone. And most will never return (holidays apart).

So why would Serbia follow that path,,??
