First of all I don’t care about tennis and never have, so I don’t care if Murray stays, withdraws, wins or loses, but I’m just stating the obvious that Murray has not played for a long time and now he is in Madrid.
Normally people who have sustained injuries as Murray has in the past then had to stop playing professionally it is extremely hard to near impossible to make a comeback to form unless some happy juice is administered. Roger Federer and Serena Williams come to mind as well. Both over 40 and still playing. How is that possible?

20 years ago, if a player missed 3 months due to injury they would struggle to come back to their peak from. Today Williams only plays selected tournaments and she is in form. How?

The swimmer Michael Phelps is another example. He won a number of gold medal in the Olympics then retired in 2012 and did not swim for two years. Then he decided to swim again in 2014 and wins again and again.
The Australian Olympic swimmer, Ian Thorpe, retired and didn’t swim for two years then attempted a comeback, but he could not even qualify for the Olympic team. I know that Ian Thorne never took any performance enhancing drugs in his life. See the difference?

If you have not got them message yet. Here it is. Western athletes take happy juice but for some reason, possibly democratic, are not tested as they should be.

Sj,
Are you suggesting that Andy Murray withdraw from Madrid just because you think he may beat Djokovic and prove that Nole may be all washed up. That could be your motivation and it certainly would shut you up. You really need to get over your Serbian inferiority complex!

Murray has been out of action for years and now he is playing in Madrid. One of two things has occurred, either the field of tennis players is so bad or Andy is taking the same happy juice as Federer who is playing beyond 40 years of age.
