Petritsch is correct to note that Kosovo is not as important to the Americans as it used to be.
Back in 1999 there were no NATO/AMERICAN bases in the western Balkans. So it was vital for them to get a foothold there. So they came out with some BS about human rights/justice and ended up supporting illegal muslim Albanian terrorists. These Albanians were viewed as terrorists by the US until they begged the Yanks for help and promised a base in Kosovo. And overnight the terrorists became "freedom fighters" (hahaha). As we have seen over the years Kosovo is corrupt as hell and is a hub and gateway for drugs into Europe. But all this is ignored by America. Even political murders are ok now.
Kosovo is poor and well over half a million Albanians have left the "land of milk and honey".
And unfortunately for the Albanians the Yanks will leave one day. And when that happens 1998/99 will seem like a walk in the park.

There are many things no longer important to the US not just Kosovo. The Afghan exit was only the door slightly ajar showing the tsunami of problems on Washington's plate, especially economic problems.
Naturally to divert the citizen's attention the US is now targeting China. Now if they could not defeat people living in caves using the most modern military equipment, what are the chances of them winning anything with a country that leads the world in G5 technology and is already working on G6 and should be available before 2030? Or the fact that same country launches a Mars rover first time, lands it and still today sending pictures back when the US lost 4 over a decade or two????

Kurtis: You seem to overlook the fact that the U.S. Is here to stay in Kosova and will soon be a member of NATO. And, Serbia nor Russia can’t do a damn thing about it. Furthermore, if Serbia refuse to recognize Kosova, Serbia will never become an EU member and Kosova will reunite with Albania. Essentially, they are already united as there is no longer any border between the two countries and again neither Serbia nor Russia can’t do jack squat about it.

20 years later, after military action, sanctions, lobbying, independence declaration, diplomatic discussions, $$$, investments etc, Kosovo is still a part of Serbia.
Has been and always will be regardless.

If you could read instead of posting nonsensical lines the Serbs were bringing down many NATO jets with old equipment and that is why no detail of NATO loses even to this day.
The US ran for their lives out of Bagram air base in Afghanistan. Even the local Afghani commander only found out when he went past there and the gate was wide open and place abandoned ha,ha.
The real test would be if your goat herders tried something on Serbs in Kosovo and see if your US comes to your aid ha,ha. Best advice is don’t just continue to rot away in Kosova.
Since you see the US as your ally why do they constantly kissing Serbian arse? Why are their companies opening up for business in Serbia proper such as Amphenol Automotive Technology, Aptiv Packard, NCR and Adient to name a few? Shouldn’t they be in Kosova employing your goat herders?
