Why single out Montenegro? They should have sent out warnings for most of Europe. Does the State Department think that for example Croatia is safe? The numbers in Croatia are down because they have stopped counting them. Its tourist season.
Perhaps Montenegro has done something to displease the US. I wonder what they did.

Just returned from a minor YU-trip, involving SRB/KiM, MK and a small part of HR. This time I am based in HU, so it was a shorter trip.

The numbers are by far less alarming than in the States to begin with. In many rural places Serbs, Albanians, Macedonians firmly believe that the virus is a hoax and does not exist. The police on the borders is very much tired to control the vaccination certificates, all they worry about is the passport, car documents and migrants. Interestingly in Jarinje there is only one booth, shared by MUP and Kosovo Police. The cops just walk around and joke. Which is good because now the criminals have no chance to change the goods or do tricks: the cops on both sides see everything.

We believe that by far the most COVID-dangerous place now is USA, so all travel there is postponed. Even that I need to see my new colleagues, buy a new car, etc - all is pushed to 2022 or even later.

Regardless of Kosvar / Serbian villager superstitions we are of course fully vaccinated (Sputnik and Moderna), just in case.

"The risk of infection and the development of severe symptoms may be lower if you are fully vaccinated with an FDA-approved vaccine."

Absolutely. The virus after reading this will run away from everyone who will tell him about being vaccinated by FDA-approved vaccine.
Virus has high respect before FDA. No Sputniks!
