The day will come when America has no use for Kosovo. Deals are done behind closed doors. If you dont believe me then answer this question: how come the democratic and just America allowed approx half a million Serbs to be kicked out of Croatia in the mid 1990s, never to return?
They didnt bat an eyelid and "operation storm" in august 1995 was barely a news item in America and W Europe.
These things can be done and I would suggest that Serbia will never give up on Kosovo. The day will come when Serb tanks and troops retake control of their southern province. And you know what, the west will barely talk about it. When that happens Albanians will have 2 choices, 1. accept that you live in Serbia or 2. leave and go elsewhere.
It will come, guaranteed.

However, if George W thinks the withdrawal is a mistake he should get his two daughters in uniform and send them there.

Who else is going to fill it? The EU or maybe Turkey? Not on your life. As already pointed, out deals are done behind closed doors on in front of the microphone.
If you think a Kosova army will fill that void then your'e a total simpleton. You cant financially sustain your selves let alone afford an army.
