This comes as no surprise, Russia has always failed to help any ally in need of protection. Serbia is a glaring example, in 1999 NATO bombed Serbia silly, with no response from Russia.

Putin is very smart men. He never rush to action because someone decides to pick a fight thinking that i will start the fight and Russia will finish it for me. Firts of all Armenia attacked Azerbajan then when Azer is winin they are crying like stupid for help using all kind of stupid excuses, such as we are christians,Turkye is helping Azeri, Turkey is bringing terrorist, we sofer from genocied. Armenia should face the music no one is going to fight with them. They have choice make peace or lose.Russia has its own interest and it will protect Armenia proper .Until then no help. If Putin took side against Azeri now it will look like thye are suporting christian Armenian agaisnt Muslim Azeri. Russia has big Turcic Population and it shares border with many of them in caucaus. Remember Chechenia,Dagestan,Turkmensitan.Kazakstan,Uzbekistan etc. Putin is great chess player , he will wait and then in the end makedeal with all parties including Turkey.
