Many of my friends have a pension of 300 euro, in Serbia. But they inherited property and can live well over there.
Yes 300 euro is not much but things are cheaper in Serbia than UK.
In UK utility bills cost arm&leg and so that council tax that's in 1000's pounds per year.
Food stuffs are also expensive.
Most people I know own properties and do not have to bother with mortgages in Serbia like we do in UK.
So life on the whole is much better for the families and the retirees.
We were in restoran and small baby at the next table was making eyes on me suddenly baby was brought to us.
And we joined together for a drink and chat.
It just happend baby's mum was an English.
Social skills are much better in Serbia.
Whilst abroad is not.

"Wrong. Rep. Serbia is not at the stand still.
The things are happening over there."

You wrote correctly. Serbia is "over there" from where you are (in the West).

"Like I said before I did not visit rep Serbia for some seven months and recently I attended some mtngs. In Subotica and Novi Sad and found all much better, much nicer.
Surprising how much work had been done since 2019."

This is true if your first visit was to Bujanovac.

"Retiring? One can live in rep. Serbia well."

With a British pension, yes.

"Social life is reach, never bored.
Not like some EU countries where each day is like a funeral.
Ofcourse like everywhere else one has to be tolerant and put up with.
In your home one can be different. I live in UK and am different,do my own thing." (British, 5 July 2020 10:08)

That's true, writing nationalist Serb nonsense from your British desk definitely counts as unusual!

Hands off the President Vucic. And stop names calling.
And who do you think you are in Novi Pazar? And what should we all call you in Novi Pazar. (Ljiljana, 3 July 2020 18:05)

Forget Plato and his abstract philosophy of the polis! You're a perfect fit for the North Korean model of the ideal citizen. Have you ever considered applying for citizenship?

Hands of Vucic the traitor? He betrayed Yugoslavia, Seselj, the serbian constituion, serbs in the 90s with the politics he supported,...

And now he dares to blame people for the failure of his government. It was madness to allow football games and reopen faster than most other states.

Uneducated, primitive Muslims and Siptari. Still in the eleventh century?A time to move on. As far as possible from us.
Zukorlic, Ugljanin it should be easy pizzie to place them in the prison or the mental asylum. For enticing problems for years in that corner.
Trouble makers. Mafia.
President must do something, now.

@Ljiljana football derby with at least 15.000 people, Tennis without much restrictions,no duty of masks in puplic transportation, elections, a president running through the country without mask,...
And then government blames the people. Vucic even was defending the football game with there was no danger. Which is a pure lie, as it is know, that a football game in Italy was a big spreading event

Very worried President indeed.
Belgrade citizens not respecting rules, the law, the President.
There is no country in this world where you can do what you like, when you like to whoyou like.
This photo clearly shows destraught President.
Same goes to unruly citizens of Novi Pazar.
Orchestrated attack on gov. Officials.
I hope rep Serbia throws the book of law on you in Novi Pazar.

It blows my socks off to see how incompetent the government is. I was thinking of retiring to Serbia but I guess there is no place for people who think different over there. It is guaranteed that Serbia would stay underdeveloped in my lifetime.
