Serbia should be thankful that the NATO bombing was rather light. I would honestly say Serbia got off easily.

I think it’s an Albanian project.

They’d been quietly ethnically cleansing Serbs from Kosovo long before Milosevic’s time.

The reason NATO etc. came on the scene was because of the prior illegal vicious ethnic cleansings done by Serbs in Bosnia. More of that kind of thing could not be tolerated and intervention followed.

The reason Kosovo is lost is because of over-belief in Serbian nationalism combined with gross diplomatic incompetance by Milosevic in particular. He effectively sold Kosovo in order to stay in power.

There is those in Serbia who don’t like this assessment because it goes against their personal view of life. It is however the truth.
