Prof.Bing Liu earned his PhD from a Singapore University, it does not mean he is not Chinese. His name indicates he is Chinese.

With all due dislike regarding China's Communist Party, the scientist wasn't Chinese.
He was from Singapore.

It's a conspiracy. Corona virus realized he is on the verge of important discovery (that could whip it out) and hired a gunman to assassinate it. Gunman then shot himself, after realizing that he is infected...

He was killed by an asian person that later killed himself. It was a relationship type of disagreement that had nothing to do with his research on the virus.

What a dumb-arsed statement LOL. This scientist was only one in hundreds throughout the world that are researching into ways to combat the virus so why would the CIA or any other agency want him dead? As already said this guy was from Singapore.

Correct, I did read the same in a HK-based newspaper. Very sad. His parents are from Mainland China, most of his life he spent either in Singapore or USA.

It was a relationship problem.

Singapore is 75% ethnic Chinese who migrated to that region several hundreds of years ago and they still have Chinese names even today. So the chances are this person is a Singaporean.
