I am not the part of a cult.
But someone norn&bread in the former Yugoslavia.
I only knew one President - Tito.

There is no romance. Just someone who respected him.
=========================
Just because he was the only president you knew back then doesn't make him a man who didn't try to destroy Serbs.
Everything he did, the Serbs paid a price and not the others.
Think about it. Has he not chosen to only settle everyone else on Serbia's land and not any other part of Yugoslavia?
What did he do to Kosovo? Do you respect him for handing it over to the Albanians? Do you really?
I too remember how it was. I was a child but now some things make a lot of sense to me which I didn't think twice about then.
I remember every Easter (Catholic) the children from our building would bring out coloured eggs but never at Orthodox Easter so it was the Catholics who felt free to celebrate not us. Why was that? This was in Sarajevo where I come from.
Maybe in Serbia things were different, but in a mixed state it was the Serbs who were suppressed. I never had a Christmas present until the one just before we were to leave Yugoslavia. My family thought it was safe then.
Don't tell me about respect for him.
What do you think he did that was so good for Serbs? I really would like to know.

Tito build a strong superpower, everyone had their right respected. Tito understood that with respect and unity Yugoslavia will be strong and survive. Then the losers took over and destroyed it.

Given a politician you chose not the one who is the best, but the one who is less evil.
Given the "smorgasbord" of bad choices today, Tito was indeed a lesser evil, than any of them.

And I agree about unity of course.

What Presidents do, The Queen, Kings of the countries it is not up to me or people.
It is a job for an authorities shin the case of wrong.

Same goes to UK.
Since 1970 I only know the Queen, and EU.
And it will take awhile to adjust.

As for the President Vucic I am very grateful for everything he did in 1990.
I am sure he did that for the good of country, all of us.
But would prefer to hear more passionate words,
Love for his people, country, as we need to be told of sense of belonging.
Maybe after the 21 st of June we will hear more from the President along such line.
The speach writers for President obviously do not have feelings.
As for the war in 1990 stop only talking about that war as it is the only war ever happend.
Yugoslavia, Serbia was right.

Will end this with RIP Predsednice Tito.

Both Slovenia and Croatia were industrialised while they were in Yugoslavia but before and certainly not after. Why are Croatian shipyards closing??? These are the same structures build while in Yugoslavia.
Slovenia would send buyers into Serbia to get fruits etc then process them and sell outside the country for hard currency. As Slovenia bordered with Italy and Austria and keep them happy he let Slovenia keep some of that foreign currency. Meanwhile payment to Serb producers would take months and in dinars. Why does it not do the same today?
As I said you people live in lala land and keep telling yourselves how you propped up Yugoslvaia and yet you are vanishing into oblivion.
But how did Croatia repay its portion of debt that came out of the breakup of the Austro Hungarian Empire – this will be interesting to hear.

What have they do to have such large economies? Are they financial centres? No; are they manufacturing hubs? No. So???? what do they do to produce such income?
In October last year the World Bank said Croatia lost about 22% of its population to migration. In December 2017, Slovenia's intelligence and security agency SOVA went on strike demanding higher wages and better working conditions because they are "understaffed and underpaid."
If Slovenia’s economy is so strong why would they do that?
If Croatia and Slovenia are wealthy why don’t the refugees remain in either country?
If not for the EU fund Croatia would look like Zimbabwe and that is real fact. I see its Serbia’s faut that Croatia is stumbling today because of the war in the 1990s. Well the EU gave your people enough money to restart your economy but Croatia its financially unviable mate – sad but true. Your only “economy” is tourism and that is f***** for 2020 and 2021. Projection of debt is 87% of GDP by December but more like 95% then 100%+ next year.
For years the realities of Jasenovac and other camps were kept subdued by Tito. It’s was only in the 1970s that a lot of this information came to light. I think that 700,000 Serbs killed is more than enough which even your Milanovic and Plenkovic accept as true figures, but your Croatia is being extinguished for ever. Serbs putting out the lights of Croatia while the Bosniaks are kicking Croats out of Bosnia – perfect.

What did you think Vucic would do? Cheer while Serbs were liquidated? Wake up. You live in a fantasy world.
Politicians in Kosovo are controlled by the US/EU and the US/EU don’t want anything settled. Do you live under a rock?
Croats are fascists. Milanovic had to dig up a relative who was an Ustasha to get elected President. They conducted a poll on Stepinac and 95% of Croats support him despite evidence that he supported Pavelic. Wait till the scholars get into the Vatican Library’s recently released archives of the WW2 period.
People now crying for Tito come from those same ethnic groups that in the 1990s were demanding separation from Yugoslavia. The game is over so learnt to live with it.

Now I am in the strange position to fight with both albos and serbs regarding Tito. Many of our brothers from Kosovaaaah melt like snow in the sun when they hear Titos name. Oh Tito gave us the autonomy, we could travel the world with jugosllav passport, our diplomas were recognized everywhere. BS, Tito gave you the autonomy status of the region becuz that was the least Tito could do. Tito and Hoxha had a deal, we support the antifascist war and fight for the liberation of Jugosllavia, you promise to solve the Kosovo question in a fair way to albos once the war is over and common enemy is defeated. Fair way includes that Kosovo can also join albania if they wish to. In fact a referendum was made, Tito played his cards inside the league of communists of Kosovo, and kosovars chose to remain within Jugosllavia. The autonomy was the least at that point since Tito wanted to incorporate even Albania proper within Jugosllavia. Tito gave you just the right to emigrate, to leave in permanent way Kosovo. And Thomas is right, Tito was a dictator, mild one compared to Hoxha but still a dictator. And again no albanians from albania were allowed to settle in Kosovo or Jugoslavia during Tito's and Hoxha's era. No one. Border with Kosovo was for us border with the west. It it was allowed 3 milion albanians from albania would have gone to Kosovo. This is the truth.

He supported the wars of the 90s which brought big suffering and death to orthodox Yugoslavs.

Now the self administration idea was the idea of the slovenian Kardelj and Tito was just smart enough to not oppose economists. And Liljana, Tito's legacy was that huge amount of debt he left to jugoslavs after his death and your beloved divine people is still paying the price. Non alliance movement was a huge blow to eastern bloc as it was Hoxha's departure. Tito and Hoxha were both masters of how to hide ethnic problems and war crimes under the propaganda flag of brotherhood. All major problems of Jugoslavia were hidden. Croat Serbs rivalry and difficult relations, Bosnian muslims identity problem within a federation of mostly christians, Albanians Serbs long centuries of hatred and crimes. Tito loved luxury and he got it. He left you the rest, wars, blood, misery. My idea.

I have come across Serbs who love Tito, but this is the same man that wanted to diminish, as he once called it, Serb hegemony by bringing in Albanians into Kosovo. Yes, Albanians have always been in Kosovo but not in these numbers and Tito is responsible.
Tito gave greater portions of the budget to Slovenia and Croatia, but it was Serbia that financed them. If you think otherwise then why aren’t these two countries living the same standard today? We have had Slovenes demonstrate demanding to know where were those politicians that promised them a better life if they left Yugoslavia. Where is Croatia’s wealth? Tito Yugoslavia was a paradise for the Slavs. A mix of west and east system but was more predominantly the workers work force. He kept religion and nationalism out of politics. He built the country that was fully independent in terms of manufacturing their own goods. He was the best leader the world has seen in the 1900s.

No other ever spoke like him straight from the heart ♥.
His voice powerful, echoing each word sticking.
I remember him saying that YUGOSLAV soldiers are keeping borders safe so we can all sleep peacefully.
Hé did nothing for me, but I was different kind of Yugoslav girl I did not expect anything, I knew it was all up to me to educate, work, build, Have career job, buy my home in UK meet Englush man, educated and be happy but always put others before me.
Tito spoke passionately about his people. I still wait to hear from Mr Vucic "my country, my people. I love you Serbia.
RIP Presudent Tito.

How you romanticise him. He was the one who allowed so many Albanians to settle in Kosovo and now we have this problem.
How many Albanians and Muslims settled anywhere in Croatian or slovenian lands? Every non Serb in the entire country was encouraged to take Serbian lands and feel like they are a special race.
Was there not schools in every other language? Was there programs on TV in Belgrade in other languages? Instead of unifying the people by promoting independence wasn't he actually promoting separatism? And all on Serbian lands. He was good for everyone else except for Serbs.
His grave should be relocated to Croatia, where he was born not Belgrade where he did the most damage to us.

Yes, nobody spoke like Tito because he couldn't speak the Serbian language, spoke it like a stranger. Some say he was actually Polish, who knows. Yugoslavia was created by Prince Alexander, Tito is nothing but an imposter who allowed thousands of civilians and soldiers to die to seize power.

I got sick of hearing Croats claim they financed Serbia. Why don’t they finance their Croatia now?
Why did Tito suppress details of Jasenovac and Ustashe atrocities? No, thank you. You can keep Tito and if up to me I’d throw what’s left of the bastard into the ocean.
As far as Vucic loving Serbia, I am not connected with any party there but you only have to look at him to see that he is someone that loves his country and people. He does not have to tell anyone just open your eyes.

(sj, 5 May 2020 14:35)

No, Slovenia and Croatia had larger economies and than Serbia. Lol exactly how did Serbia finance them? If anything a larger share of finance from Slovenia and Croatia went to Belgrade. Youre welcome.

If you think otherwise then why aren’t these two countries living the same standard today?
(sj, 5 May 2020 14:35)

Because Croatia and Slovenia were already wealthier and more-industrialized than Serbia before Yugoslavia. You cant just throw money at a problem and expect everything to work out the same.

Where is Croatia’s wealth?
(sj, 5 May 2020 14:35)

This little thing called a war which your mob started in the 90's contributed to that.

I got sick of hearing Croats claim they financed Serbia.
(sj, 5 May 2020 14:35)

Yeah the truth hurts doesnt it.

Why don’t they finance their Croatia now?
(sj, 5 May 2020 14:35)

They are, not sure what you meant by that.

Why did Tito suppress details of Jasenovac and Ustashe atrocities?
(sj, 5 May 2020 14:35)
What suppression? Or are you salty that they didnt add another dozen zeros onto the end of the victim count

He supported the wars of the 90s which brought big suffering and death to orthodox Yugoslavs.
He still plays the game of keeping up the hate on the other group mainly together with the Kosovo politicians, sometimes with the politicians of croatia.

Given a politician you chose not the one who is the best, but the one who is less evil.
Given the "smorgasbord" of bad choices today, Tito was indeed a lesser evil, than any of them.

And I agree about unity of course.

How can a man lead a country while he has had 5 wives, I dont know. I have just one and with many difficulties can lead just myself and my humble business. My idea.

The region never had it better. At least Serbs, Bosnians, Macedonians, Montenegrins, and Slovenes realize it. Croats and Albanians will be indefinitely late to that party, intoxicated as they are with their delusions of national self-determination.

Wish you and the ones you love many happy years on this Planet.

What about the right to vote and choose your own leaders democratically?

What about the right to raise your voice and speak out against the government, without fear of arrest or worse?

How was that socialist dictator on those rights?

I guess, like most of the Middle East, a lot of people just liked to be ruled over and treated like sheep.

Ataman I am so happy you survived corona. I think I had it too, I'm getting better. Wish you your wife and kids healthy and joyful life. A man loves just once. The rest are krevat stories, good ones, but not love. Do not tell this to your kids. Let them think that other way for as long as they can.

I am not the part of a cult.
But someone norn&bread in the former Yugoslavia.
I only knew one President - Tito.

There is no romance. Just someone who respected him.
