Let’s see how truthful the US is on this issue. Its only begun over there and the Government lags far, far behind Europe, China or Russia. It does not have enough testing kits, vital equipment or hospital beds.
Now when the Chinese authorities locked down 60 million people the New York Times declared it was tantamount to a gross human rights violation, but when Italy did the same it was is a bold step.
I’ll bet Washington lies through its teeth every step of the way. I could be wrong but I have a feeling I’m not.

There is absolutely no reason for panic.
I had to visit the doctor's office for a trivial reason (Metformine & Co), was waiting four hours in the line - and got the infection.

No wonder, our second home is in mid of one of the most affected area in Europe.
Forget what you learn from the news: the real-world infection statistics have nothing to do with the official data.

All this is a very good news because the real mortality data is far less, what is reported.

About China: do you know, who are the "hidden girls"?
The "extra" children, mostly female - who were hidden by their parents during the "one child" policy. Now young ladies. And now the parents have all the experience how to "hide" people for whatever reason.

In Germany or France (and even more in Hungary) people hide people because we do not trust the government. The number of infected is by a magnitude higher, than officially reported. Whom we can't hide are the dead. So the real mortality is miniscule.

The problem #1 are the people over 75, if all would seek help the hospitals would be overwhelmed. All this became political and hopefully it won't translate into a repression.

This is what people here fear the most. As for COVID-19: I can testify in person, it is a mid-size annoyance for me - and I am over 60.

Again: ANNOYANCE and not "threat". Much less annoyance than the usual flu.

I don'y believe the Chinese government - but this time what they tell now is plausible.
On average, the flu is quite mild, but annoyingly lasts about three weeks.

The unusual "feature" of it is that it spreads extremely fast and the deadly lung inflammation what could be the consequence of the over-reaction of the immune system.
It is some sort like navigating between the rocks: if your immune system is way to weak is a problem and if it is way to strong it is an other problem.

By all calculations the epidemic in China indeed should be down, only very few will catch the flu second time.

I’ll bet Washington lies through its teeth every step of the way. I could be wrong but I have a feeling I’m not.

In additon to that if it is about panic the population is very difficult to control.

Why the hell anyone needs ammunition?

The next problem there is the greed of insurance companies.
I guess, many managers in world's insurance capital located in Connecticut started to see the entire country green.

I certainly agree about incompetence and cluelessness. To be honest I don’t know whether Washington does not care or does not have the money to do anything. Perhaps its money since Congress has recently approved an increase in the Defence budget and no money left for anything else.
Its going to get even worse as the petrodollar is beginning to come to an end. Plus, the Fed reserve pumped $1.5 trillion into the banking system in one day last week with little change in the stock market prices.
I heard that same about people stocking up on ammunition. Some stores ran out quickly. Why do they need ammo? If things go haywire in the US it will be like the wild wild west and people are preparing for the worst.

The deaths due to COVID-19 are not exaggerated as you claim. The count is done by recording the number of corpses of those who were afflicted. Why would a country such as China overstate the mortalities, only to make themselves look even more incompetent. I think your symptoms due to the virus also include hallucinations.

The crown service 👑🦇 of U.S. Department of State improved tremendously in last 24 hours.
Yesterday it was dismal, today 👍👏

My company sent everyone home already. I am telecommuting of course from Europe to USA, so I am always at home.
We have fun now - there is a company-wide contest, who made a better home office.

Mine used to be very good, but since I got the Ataman -> 👑Crowned Tsar upgrade, things go slower and it's messy now.
