This was a professional hit ordered by the US with the UK involved at some point. The hit was to start a war so that NATO could send in troops to quell the violence and thus take over all of Serbian controlled Kosovo.
As most know, I am not a fan of the Albos but you have to be fair. The Albos did not do this.

I think it was done by either Serbs or Albanians who are afraid of him.
He was under investigation in Pristina for a while, than he was freed.

The reason he was under investigation is that some people did believe, he has dirty hands.
It is irrelevant today, what hands he had. I think it is very likely he knew a lot about "opponents" or "friends".
Only these had any benefit to kill him. For anyone else he was not that important. look

What kind of contacts he had during the civil war wasn't exposed to the public.

I think, it is more likely that these were war criminals close to Milosevic, not close to KLA.
But it had nothing to do with North Kosovo.

Yeah yeah its always the Serbs just like the Serbs killed themselves in Jasenovac. This Serb gang business is a myth peddled now for a while. Oliver Ivanovic was in prison for 4 years on made up charges then finally released. He HELD no office when he returned home so how could he be a danger to so called Serbian gangs? How? Yes there are Serbs criminals and crime gangs, but they did not kill Ivanovic. Why didn’t they do that when he held power???? Because it’s all BS.

....hardly anyone thinks this targeted assassination was the work of Albanians.

The fake Serb, MSG, has now perfectly demonstrated his lack of basic reading and comprehension skills as the article quotes an Association of (real) Serbs who directly contradict MSG’s false assertion.

The basic facts and truth that the fake Serb MSG denies, and which anyone remotely familiar with the Ivanovic case history, recognizes:

Truth - It was the KLA terrorists and their criminally co-conspiring American foreign sponsors who set-up a corrupt judicial system in their fenced-in ghetto. Further indisputable evidentiary fact: The KLA’s corrupt judicial system wrongly persecuted and imprisoned Oliver Ivanovic for years. After the KLA terrorist’s kangaroo justice system revealed they had no evidence of crimes against a leader who strongly maintained that a KiM was an inseparable part of Serbia, the motive and hatred of the KLA terrorist against Ivanovic and his political position, culminated with his killing. Motive, hatred and an undeniable historical record of persecution are all hard evidence against the KLA terrorists and their criminal USA sponsors.

Hard evidence to all that is, except the fake Serb MSG and his cohort of Albanian trolls.

I do believe he was targeted by U.S./Britain, maybe using Albanian help. Even a major U.S. news site "The Economist" had a piece right after his death on how it was actually a good thing and would work to western goals in Kosovo.
One must remember how he was held in jail for years but then suddenly released for "home arrest".
Doing this keeps him located for those who want to kill him, yet killing him in jail would be to obvious so that's why they released him before he was killed.
Plus, he was symbol of resistance against an entire Albanian takeover of that part of Kosovo. The Serbs never put him in jail for years and his family all live in the Serbian part of Kosovo or Serbia.

In spite of all the wrong things Albanians have done in the past, hardly anyone thinks this targeted assassination was the work of Albanians.

We only have your word on this. Are these "friends" imaginary or real?

I don't know what the truth of the matter is. But I do know that many many friends of mine from Sumadija to the south immediately blamed the criminal gangs in northern Kosovo. They spoke harsh words against the ruling coalition, considering them likely guilty of his death through Serbian gangs in the north. I have never been north of Mitrovica, so I can't say. I can only tell the reaction of locals in Serbia. In spite of all the wrong things Albanians have done in the past, hardly anyone thinks this targeted assassination was the work of Albanians.
