On the contrary, the only real, long-term and sustainable deal between Belgrade and Pristina will arise only if the U.S., the EU and its members stop interfering and stop declaring what is and is not an acceptable agreement.

The 1995 Dayton Accords for Bosnia-Herzegovina is hardly an example of a successful agreement. You only need to ask those who are forced to abide by it.

Once again some american mouthpiece is spinning it a bit too creatively. Neither the " Dayton Agreement " nor the macedonian treason is a ' success '. Far from that. They will last for a certain period of time until the western powers, with the US leading, cannot go on spending the ammount on their presence they are spending currently.
It's inevitable and some say it will happen sooner rather than later.

This entire thesis is based on the assumption that the EU is a carrot for Serbia, when in fact more and more people see it as a stick. Until this is realized there will be no progress. Taking northern Kosovo is not good enough, only way is getting the all the Serb areas and RS.

And since Janusz is member of IRI, which promotes itself as "nonpartisan" I dared to look up it's Board of Directors.

Everyone there is a hard-code GOP.

And GOP not only sioux, it sox big time. Sure the "blue" is corrupt enough, but that ugly red elephant won't ever get my vote, sorry.

"Any durable accord between Belgrade and Pristina must remain free from Kremlin interference", (Janusz) Bugajski concluded

Ой, ой, дорогой Януш... According that Wikipedia:

"Janusz Bugajski (born September 23, 1954, in Nantwich, Cheshire) is a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Washington DC"
"He came to U.S. in 1986. He is son of Piotr, a teacher, and Jadwiga (Kawska) Bugajski. He is an American of Polish descent."

Not that it would be a big surprise that Януш (Janusz) is Polish.

But his life maybe would be more happy if he would somehow make a peace with that scary, ugly, menacing bear who happen to be his eastern (ex)neighbor.

Obviously there is much to work about a historic reconciliation and no side is perfect.

But maniac russophobia will not bring him anything. Except some cheap Dollars for cheap talk with ones in Washington who aren't any better than the usual suspects in Moscow.
