Essentially, Kosovo is independent, nothing Serbia can do to change this fact. Now it is up to Serbia to decide if it wants to join the EU, she knows what she must do. The sooner Serbia recognizes Kosovo the sooner she will be eligible to join the que to the EU. There are no guarantees, but she will no longer be blocked membership to the EU.

With a lot of Chinese and Russian help Serbia is going around and getting more and more countries to revoke recognition of Kosovo as an independent state. The Germans are the problem, not the solution. They refuse to allow Serbia to make a deal that lets Serbia keep it's dignity. It may be some old type of racism,supporting their old Croatian, Albanian allies, or it is simply they can't admit they were wrong.They are not brave enough to stand up and acknowledge Serbian rights to Kosovo. They refuse to see their hypocrisy in encouraging the breakup of Serbia, and refusing the breakup of an unrecognised parastate. German stubborness and arrogance is what is holding back a solution.
