There's still chance Volkswagen could come to Serbia - PM

Serbia still has a chance to become the destination for Volkswagen's new factory, and we will continue to fight for that, Prime Minister Ana Brnabic has said.

That is the way France and Germany think. In other words bribery
(Sam D, 20 May 2019 02:12)

As I said before if Kosovo was the issue then nothing would have moved to Serbia. Even US companies have relocated to Serbia. IBM alone is building a $90 million complex in Novi Belgrade.

What they are now most afraid is China and its influence in Serbia and if there are still people in Brussels stupid enough to think that recognition was a prerequisite to VW then they are in for a rude shock.

Those days are gone.

Ana. Germany is using Volkswagen as a bargaining chip in its negotiations with Serbia. You will get Volkswagen if you recognize Kosovo plain and simple
Please don’t submit to this

That's is not true since there are many German businesses that have opened industry in Serbia such as Siemens in Kragujevac where upon completion of the complex it will employ about 7000 workers.
If recognition of Kosovo was the prerequisite to VW moving to Serbia then all the other German companies would have not moved there. Industry looks to cheap energy, land taxes, water and access to good transport.
Pristina is not in the running becasauje they have NOTHING

Yes it is true other businesses have opened in Serbia in the past however Volkswagen would employ many more people than the examples you used
The Kosovo situation has gotten to the point where the credibility of the EU is in question particularly Ms Merkel and Mr Macron. If they announce that VW will employ several
thousand employees and the location of the proposed factory is somewhere near a populated area such as the suburbs of Beograd. What impact would you say that would have in the politics of Serbia if the perception is created that Serbia lost VW because of Kosovo
