If Serbia had zero say, there would not be all this pressure to get Serbia to agree on a "compromise". Nobody cares if North Korea and South Korea do not recognize each other, because both are a reality. The only reality in Kosovo-Metohija right now is that:
1.) Serbia is needed for dialogue
2.) recognitions are falling, and countries have begun to withdraw their recognition
3.) Albanians have failed in their last 5 attempts to join major international organizations, despite strong lobbying from the West

Serbia not having control over its province does not make you a "nation". At best, a pseudostate.

Are you aware that up to 1954 Crimea was a part of Russia? But at the time it was all part of the Soviet Union, and it was given to the Ukraine for admin purposes. There is a huge naval base there built and paid for by Moscow.
When the Soviet broke up the Ukraine signed a deal with Russia never to join Nato. As soon as they could they want to join Nato....
So Russia has every right to take back Crimea, particularly after the behaviour of Kiev.

I agree with you on these three important points: we don't need any more war, compromise is necessary to avoid war, and both parties are not the best at compromising with the Albanians seeming to be less willing to compromise.

1.) Serbia is needed for dialogue
2.) recognitions are falling, and countries have begun to withdraw their recognition
3.) Albanians have failed in their last 5 attempts to join major international organizations, despite strong lobbying from the West

When the Soviet broke up the Ukraine signed a deal with Russia never to join Nato. As soon as they could they want to join Nato....

I hope there is no war, anywhere in the world. Its a dreadful thing.
My fear is that there is not too much room for compromise. And before you say that its up to the Serbs to accept Kosova as a country, and there will be peace, they will say that if Kosovo accepts being Serbias province with autonomy then there will also be peace.
The way I see it is that neither side seems to want to compromise (particularly the Albanians), so then what???
No, its not wishful thinking, its fear of more war because what other solutions do you see??? And if the west "makes" Serbia accept a deal by force, then that conflict is postponed to a time when the playing field is different and favours Serbia.

I agree with you on these three important points: we don't need any more war, compromise is necessary to avoid war, and both parties are not the best at compromising with the Albanians seeming to be less willing to compromise.

I hope they can find a way through. Otherwise, they will need to accept difficult consequences.

Pffff well that would make you a liar since its clear that America creates terrorists. For example muslim fighters from Bosnia and Kosovo helped orchestrating 9/11 attacks. Look it up. So while USA pretends to be allies with the biggest export of ISIS fighters in Europe they are allowing the return of ISIS fighters to the very same land. I'm sorry but that looks like USA SUPPORTING TERRORISTS to me unless you dare care enough to explain that aspect of terror support??
