Dw, cany read Serbian so your like is wasted on me. However there are probably people on this site that can supply you with other links supporting my point that Naser Oric murdered up to 4k Serbian civilians. Note, I said up to 4k. And it was in dozens of villages over some period of time. Mladic commited a crime in Srebrenice and is rightly in jail, but that crime was an act of revenge to what Oric was doing. Nobody knows exact figures of dead and missing but its interesting how Oric is freed by yhe courts. No doubt he killed a lot of civilians.
Also interesting how you fail to even comment on the cleansing of approx 250-300k Serbs from Croatia. Why is that? And how come not a single person was guilty or convicted of that crime???
I have said many Serbs in jail (probably rightly so), but crimes against Serbs ignored. Explain??? Western media...pressure groups, political will...???
And nobody will even touch the massacre by Croats on Serbs, Jews and Roma in WW2. How is that possible?? By the way Croats still celebrate the cleansing of Serbs in '95.... Think you are the one eyed dreamer and history rewriter...

As an American born and raised on the east coast, I witnessed first hand the slant written and spoken about Serbia. There was consensus among the commentators. I never heard nonsense, such as Serbians being illiterate to Serbs playing soccer with the chopped off heads of Bosnians. It was typical political slant. Even the meekest American Liberals want to punish Milošević. I never heard of Bosnian Muslim supporters hiring a Washington DC based public relations firm to run the BS against Serbs. Or the same nonsense followed naturally when Albanians decided to strike at Serbia. The Albanians had their strong supporters including Bob Dole and Joe Biden. With political and popular opinion against the Serbs, military punishment was likely. Well, it's time for us to re-examine what happened, but with clearer eyes. The world is no longer one dominated by the same great powers. It's time for Serbia to forgive and thereby find psychological and spiritual healing. Albanians have received their rewards for propitiating their Gods. Now it's time for Serbia to find their way.

(That's my manifesto)

Raisin Scone, an excellent post by you. At last some truth. I knew about the propaganda firm Rudeur + Finn (not sure of spelling) and their disgusting work. We also have a firm here in England called Cambridge Analytica who were filmed secretly boasting that they can make the truth a lie and a lie becomes the truth. Their motto is "the truth is not important, its the perception that is key". What a sad and twisted world we live in.
For those that disagree let me point to one example....the US has had sanctions on Venezuela for some time now. Blockaded to a point of humger. Now we see the same USA wanting to send aid to the people of Venezuela... Aint that amazing??? What disgusting tactics against a country and its people...

As for Kosovo the Albanians planned to steal this land for decades. Throughout the 1960's and beyond hundreds of thousands of Serbs have been bullied, threatened, etc to leave Kosovo. Many were murdered. KLA is a terrorist group. Racak was a set up to get Nato to bomb Serbia.

Mark W,, there are nopositives to war or bombings. Nato broke int. law with no mandate or authorisation to bomb a sovereign country. By bombing it didn't stop yhe war, it just postponed it. Look at the tensins in Bosnia and Kosovo. This will all blow up again. Sad to say but sometimes an big civil conflict is inevitable and sorts things out once and for all. Did anyone intervene in the US civil war, or French revolution or the English civil war? No. Tragic events but then those nations moved on.
For your information Milosevic was not guilty (so said the Hague in his absence), even though you may wish he was. Croatia had a policy of cleansing Serbs which they achieved in '95 (kicked out 300k Serbs with no condemnation). And after murdering up to 1 million in WW2 can you blame Serbs'fears? So how was Serbia guilty of cleansing those people from Croatia??? In Bosnia neither Serbs or Croats wanted to live under muslim rule and a 3 way fight began. To continue....

Dear "staff,"

Would you tell us what company or organization you are working for? If you are not willing to share the identity of your company, shouldn't you use a different screen name? (One which is not claiming a position "above" others)

In short, if you can't back up your claim with at least the name of the company or organization, perhaps you shouldn't be claiming to be "staff" on this forum. Even if your name isn't John or Justin, those would be more appropriate screen names than "staff."

Thank you in advance for clarification.

Look at the positive side of the Natao bombing,

It stopped the wars !!!

Plus it would not be fair if Serbia got away without a little taist of war on its soil.
After all Milosevic started all the wars in Croatia, Bosnia and Kosovo and directed everything from Belgrade so why should Belgrade be spared from having bombs fall on it.

That was a Canadian General Lewis McKenzie who was stationed in Sarajevo for a while then replaced with a French General Philippe Morillon.
General McKenzie wrote a book titles Peacekeeper, the road to Sarajevo where he talks about his experiences there and also in Croatia. When he discussed the market massacre in Sarajevo with Gen. That said a lot.

All Serbian citizens in the province, serbs and albanians alike, are in danger. The most polluted areas with this ammunition are Djakovica, Pec and Mitrovica areas.
Question to people living there; Do you sometimes have a bad flu with headache that is hard to cure? Yes, you are right, its from the bombing.
One never hear anything nowadays about the bombing of YU. Because everyone that took part is ashamed.

NATO interventions against Serbian aggressions.

The interventions were appropriate after three years of wickedness in Bosnia. The conscience of the world was saying that Milosevic cannot be allowed to continue the killings.

HOWEVER while the point of using depleted uranium is that it acts effectively against enemy troops and is therefore a protection for troops that use it, the NATO attacks were done from 15000 ft and therefore there was little need for depleted uranium to be used to provide that kind of protection.

While I can see the point of the intervention I cannot see why depleted uranium was used.

——

Two other points.

Smoking in the presence of children happens all the time in Serbia - and people need to stop that.

Uranium is heavy so the areas where uranium settled should be quite restricted.

Is there a link to the study that was underetaken? How was the study designed? Was this increase in childhood malignancies statistically significant? Could this rise be explained by other factors such as improved detection? Is there any bias or other confounding factors that can contribute towards the "observed" outcome? This news article does not report any of these or a link to the actual study so that people like myself can evaluate the risk of bias using tools such as Cochrane risk of bias tool. The comments made by the person in charge of this commission at the end also do not help the cause of this study as the person is unable to detach himself from the facts and his emotions/preconceived agenda that he may have had.

The evil destruction unleashed by NATO and the use of depleted uranium is still to be fully told.

This is why the US wish to brush this under the carpet and take the illegal & illogical stance on Serbia's sovereignty - the Muppets/Puppets Haradinaj/Thaci have sold their souls and remain quiet on the destruction they have bought upon their families and fellow ethnic Albanians for generations to come in Serbia's UN recognised province.
