Once Djukanovic is gone, hopefully there will be a crackdown.

On one hand, this development is bad for the Djukanovic government. Albanians in the Tuzi area will feel emboldened to irrationally seek independence and join with Kosovo or Albania.

On the other hand, this is actually a good development for the Serbs of Montenegro because those Montenegrins who supported Djukanovic and broke away from Serbia will now be crawling back to Serbia for help when Albanians try to claim the Tuzi area as an independent Albanian land. It's all coming full circle.

P.S. Have you ever been to Tuzi? It's a dump. I would rate it slightly higher than Kosovo in terms of living conditions.

I suggest that they wait to chant "UCK" until the Special Chambers tribunal is done in a couple of years. The majority of the UCK leaders from the conflict will not chant from the prison cells. Wait and see.

Why have a referendum??? Does a large ethnic population who were born in Montenegro gives them right to independence? Can the 15 thousand Kosovo Albanians living in the UK have a referendum and become a independent state?

I can not be bother about listening to individuals or a group of individual. To me it is important living in harmony, self governing. Albania and Montenegro are friendly countries both in NATO and EU.

albania and montenegro have excellent relations. albanians in montenegro are civilized people unlike serb people in kosovo. i hope this is a lesson to serb minority in the north that this is the way to behave in a civilized world. Tuzi is ok. I haven't been there for a couple of years but it has a good vets who has all the basic stuff to get rid of ticks and fleas.

Western sanctions on Yugoslavia were great for Tuzi. It became a hub for smuggling just about anything and was rumored to bring in oil via small pipeline from Albania. You can still get good stuff if you know where to go. Of course the west looked the other way to all this as Djukanovic was in charge. UNPROFOR soldiers liked to go there for shopping.

As for the current news, Tuzi has quite a large Malesori (catholic - i.e. not your usual retards) community which is obvious if you go and look at the sizeable and quite nice church at the cross-roads and has a life-sized sculpture of Mother Teresa outside it and quite a fancy cemetery. They got the good portion of the 'Albanian' vote, so nothing really to get bigly excited about.

As for trouble, it was American kids who went to Tuzi in the early 2000s, tooled up and declared they were 'liberating' it for Greater/Natural/Bio Albania. The locals called the police and that was that.

The fact that there is anger about the flags should tell you how rarely anything like that happens.

They've been busy building fairly nice houses on the roads leading in to town. The best bit though is that on the main drag in to Podgorica is Plantaze, Europe's largest vinyard!
