@Scandinavia Corruption in our country was widespread during Tito as it is now. Sad when you think about it when Serbia belongs to EU and Europe and not Russia/China.

At least our journalists and opposition politician doesn’t get beaten up or get their houses torched.

At least Scandinavian countries are doing better while ex Yugo still lags behind 20 years.

When it comes to WII Finland just acknowledged that their people committed war crimes (the ones who joined SS).Maybe Serbia should follow their example on Srebrenica?

And no all Serbs are not evil, each country have good and evil people that is a fact.

I’m just saying that corruption is widespread this based on my own experience. E.g my friends parents hasn been in court with their neighbors for 15 years regarding 3m of land and who owns it. In a normal society that doesn’t work. If the court gives their final saying that’s it. But you can just pay off everyone.

The English knowledge in the country is so poor
(Scandinavia, 11 February 2019 18:21)

And your knowledge of Serbia and its people is so lacking. What you say is untrue and certainly not the reason for a supposed lack of other perspectives. You arrogantly use "you" as in 'you collectively do this' while addressing a people (even though these exact protests are saying otherwise!), and then you lecture on misinformation and the importance of plurality.

Please, keep your warm wishes. "We" don't need them.
If you really cared about Serbia, this is not the way.

If someone is protesting blame external forces e.g US, NATO etc.
Reality is that Vucic = Milosevic, same propaganda as during the 90s. Vucic tells people one thing but reality is totally different.
I’m glad my grandfather fled, yes fled from Yugoslavia in the late 1950’s. As an expat born and living abroad it is a shame when I visit Serbia to see how open the corruption is. If you vote for Vucic you will have benefits otherwise you are a 2nd or 3rd class citizen.
The English knowledge in the country is so poor it is no wonder why people don’t have other perspectives on different topics. What RTS tells you is the “truth” no matter what. If you want inspiration look at Sweden and Swedish Television, first government tells their opinion than they ask opposition about their input.

If you want to join EU I say good luck and welcome to EU maybe 2060.

Scandinavia, yeah, the Nordic countries are great example to follow. Just look at Finland in WW2 and we should all strive to be like them, right? Well, at least the Croatians....

I confess I am a bit out of touch with Serbian politics. After reading this story I am none the wiser.

Did it never occur to your journalist that people may not know why people are protesting, what their demands are, and who is organising and financing them?

I have my suspicions but, really, I know nothing. After reading this article I still know nothing.

They are protesting about Vucic silencing the opposition media, the right to free speech. They are also contrary to Vucic moderate stance on Kosovo. To me it seems a kind of color revolution alla Ukraine or Venezuela scenario. We cant win the elections in fair way, lets throw the government. If Serbia was in Nato, Nulland had already arrived in Belgrade to tell opposition that the real opposition is made in Parlament and not on the streets as she did with albanian opposition. Serbia is not in Nato soooooo....
