My biggest problem with America is that leading American computer companies do not provide early access to the hardware-to-be-released to American (or European if that matters) developers anymore, only to Chinese and Indian.

My biggest problem with America is that leading American computer companies do not provide early access to the hardware-to-be-released to American (or European if that matters) developers anymore, only to Chinese and Indian.

Maybe because the managers in these companies are Chinese and Indian.
No matter, what - you are American (British, German, Russian) - you have to fight with Microsoft or Apple or Google uphill.

Wrong target, Sken - no one there wants to hear about hungry American small business. Why would they care about Balkan?

Glow, yes there are protests in Serbia. But there are protests against Macron in France, also in Belgium, Holland, etc. There have been massive protests in the US against Trump.
Its called democracy.

From what I read here Ataman Serbia is the only country in balkan to take advantage of the 4th industrial revolution and is trying to invest massively on it. While the rest of us is still living in a half feudal era. Socialism laid the basis and grounds were solid. But the post-communism era of anarchy destroyed everything and now these countries are left centuries behind again. Chinese and indian people are very smart people.

I mostly agree with you Mike. I am not from Balkans, I dont even heve relatives from this part of Europe. Unfortunatly, you will not have all Kosovo back. The three big players and EU are on high level meetings agreed with that. Maybe you have read my posts in the past and it will be very much like that. Its discussed and many things are done that people dont see connected to each other. Maybe you know about the Special Chambers. For example, this chamber will take away many of the corrupt leaders in your province for a long time. Does this have to do with the final settlement for Kosovo? Oh, yes by all means! Its like a chess game and the big players makes the calls. In the end, the K albanians will have to accept and bow their heads because their "supporter" US is in the game. Stay tuned Mike.

The current protests in Serbia unfortunately remind me of the highly effective color revolution in Jukrein. And Im not saying this just becuz leaders or srpski opposition frequently meet with US embassy staff. Contacted from the srpski opposotion, that beacon of human rights and free speech that is the US, cant do anything but listen to them. I would probably do the same if the venezuelan opposition asked to meet with me for igzempll ha ha.

What I dont understand is: Brnabic's government is by far the most successful government Serbia has had in decades. Pro investment environment, lower rates of unemployment, massive investments in IT sector, public debt in strong decline, a very pragmatic position regarding Kosovo. So what are these people protesting for? Does the srpski opposition think that Serbia could realistically reach more than this after 4 wars and the total collapse of the 90's? If so, which are the areas where they would be more effective than the current leaders?

Now Ataman, cuz we are obliging these B92 good guys and girls to work for free also on weekends I think and I feel bad anytime I write my long essays on weekends, but Ataman if I write here a list of the heavy industry complexes that were built in albanian cities after ww2, fabrics, buildings, universities, everything with the best technology from DDR, Poland, your Hungary, Ussr, and then China, that would be a very long list. And a very long list of wounds in my soul as I saw post 90's albanians physically assaulting and destroying all that list in a war against the machines like the English centuries ago. Technology was one, prepared quadros was the other thing. Thousands of albanians studied for free in DDR, Cechoslovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moskouu, Beijing. Those people brought a new culture and the know how balkans never had before. The big mistake, the biggest crime of the post communist elites was that in the name of the declared anti-communism they threw away any achievement our poor countries have had. Just becuz of the hate for Enver Hoxha. Stupid thing as those achievements were not Hoxha's credit but the credit of thousands men and women who had been working for decades to develop their country. So we arrive today at the point where the albanian state cannot even manage anymore the dozens of hydrocentrals let alone build anything new. The albanian state cannot even built a theatre or even the building of the parlament without begging turks to fund it!

Which new fabrics, which new industrial complexes have been built in Albania in the last 30 years? Nothing. Upps I forgot, a lot of commercial centers, high buildings that are taking away our breath and our childrens lives. Thats the only achievement we can be proud of. But Ataman can you imagine how I feel when I see that this state of thieves cannot even build a decent building for the parlament? This state of thieves and criminals is killing our children who are obliged to work when 12 years old in order to pay their books for the school! And when those children are killed while working not even an investigation, nobody is convicted.

Human rights and free speech, media rights etc. Ok any government can do more in this field but lets not forget that the basic bejzik human right is not to badmouth everybody in every newspaper. The bejzik right is the right to have a job, the right to earn a salary which can feed me and my family. Without this, the right of free speech is reduced to a bit more than the right to badmouth the government with the neighborhoods oldies. Fact. Now this is precisely Im against Rama for igzempll and will be part of the upcoming demonstration. Not becuz he has tried to silence media or is becoming a dictator. But becuz in my modest opinion he doesnt understand anything on how to develop a country. So very pragmatic resistance to this national disgrace of ours.
