But no, Radical-Serbia would not discontinue with her radical policies of aggression, ethnic cleansing and genocide and radical dream of trying to artificially create a radical Serbian superstate in the middle of evolving democratic Europe!

78 days of bombing souls have been sustained for another 78 days followed by NATO ground troops into Radical-Serbia proper so as to pacify a fanatical Serbian monster which still to this day hold many other countries of the region HOSTAGE due to her continued radical policies!!!

trizoq, there is no real evidence that Albanians were killing serbs before 1999. this idea was manufactured by the yugoslav-serb government in order to justify their crackdown against student protests. Ibrahim Rugova was leading passive resistance movements which were still met with force by serb police and yugoslav troops. it was the provocations and and killings by serbia that pushed Albanians to discard the peaceful resistance and taking up arms.

Two decades later and here we have serbs whining as they usually do! Serbs on that day had the perfect opportunity to stop the civilian brutality and the killings but they chose to do it anyway. Now here they are 20 years later whining that they were bombed! There is a lesson to be learned here that I doubt they have learned! Regardless though as Serbia is running out of countries in the Balkans to invade they are starting to have internal conflicts in their own country!

Sometimes they're a tag team too but that's ok. We are quite capable of standing up to them.

Rambouillet was a debacle, but for the Serbian diplomacy.

Here's Serbia with 150 years of diplomatic tradition, with state organs and experts, with a superpower watching its back and non-aligned organization watching its side and every other advantage on its pocked, being outmaneuvered by Thaci that never expected to be in the spotlight of international politics only a few months before.

Serbs would give an arm and a leg now, just to have only half of what they could've had from Rambouillet. Twenty years from now they will give an arm and a leg just to have only half of what they could've had in they make an agreement with Albanians now. Listening to the Serbs on these pages though reminds you of empty buckets: a lot of noise but no substance. Same as 20 years ago.

Muslims in Bosnia, alongside their Serb and Croat counterparts, signed Lisbon Agreement, EU plan that called for independent Bosnia with wide autonomy for Serbs and Croats. Bosnian Serbs leader Radovan Karadzic signed too, for independent Bosnia (probably, to create Greater Serbia???).
On 28 March 1992, after a meeting with US ambassador to Yugoslavia Warren Zimmermann in Sarajevo, Izetbegović withdrew his signature. Warren Zimmermann denied that he told Izetbegović that if he withdrew his signature, the United States would grant recognition to Bosnia as an independent state. What is indisputable is that on the same day Izetbegović withdrew his signature and renounced the agreement.
Struggle for independence shorty followed, starting by massacre of 60 Serb civilians (including 17 children) in village of Sijekovac. He enjoyed wide political and other support for his war actions, including from EU dispite of his rejection of their plan. Let me point few things to you.
"Radical Serbs" (as Peter The Rocky Mountains, would say) accepted independence of Bosnia and autonomy within it. Something "non-radical" Albanians, for example, never did. And war started with Western support. They did not mind autonomy for Croats in Bosnia. But not for Serbs. War was not about independence, as this was granted without war. It was about not allowing Serbs to have any autonomy.
But, you are right. For all that we can blame Milosevic.

The request to station troops all over Serbia was a point in the negotiations that was meant to be taken out during negotiations in order to get a concession. It is one of the oldest tricks in the world, practiced even by kids. Ask for 10 in order to get 7. When they say that is why the talks failed, they are lying. The truth is in the last paragraph of the article, Milosevic did not want any troops in Kosovo to guarantee the accords. Then he said, OK I will accept peacekeepers from Russia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, but not from the US or any other countries. He calculated a short bombardment of Serbia followed by NATO capitulating and saying: "we tried". NATO calculated a short bombardment of Serbia followed by Milosevic's capitulation. Both sides were wrong. I really wish B92 would publish a copy of the version of the agreement that Serbia signed. According to Tim Judah, it was clearly designed to make the talks fail, with extremely arrogant and insulting points, and entire portions of the original text blacked out.

Rambouillet was capitulation on USD terms. If you go back in history the Austro-Hungarian empire also gave a very similar ultimatum to Serbia despite Belgrade having no involvement in the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.. The Emperor and his Chief military staff wanted to go to war, but what is sad is that the Archduke was against attacking Serbia.
Serbia did not give in then and never gave in at Rambouillet.

Its hard to believe its been almost twenty years since the NATO bombing. I was wondering what other people do to celebrate/commerate March 24th, the day the bombing commenced. In my family, my mother makes Burrek and we watch videos of Belgrade being bombed. This is a very special day for my family. Can others please share how they pass this day.

Tim Judah books are not "historical" but more on the side of fiction. Secondly, Milosevic was more than happy to have troops under the auspices of the United Nations in Kosovo, not NATO. Since when is NATO consider representative of the entire world? In previous conflicts, it was the United Nations that authorized peacekeeping troops, NATO become an offensive alliance and started the bombardment of Yugoslavia against international law. These western countries have used that precedent to illegal tear apart Libya and tried the same tricks in Syria as well as Iraq.

You all can speak so ill of Milosevic because widespread propaganda tarnished his name in the western world, however he was tried to protect Serbs and the territorial integrity of Serbia. Two decades later and here we have serbs whining as they usually do! Serbs on that day had the perfect opportunity to stop the civilian brutality and the killings but they chose to do it anyway. Now here they are 20 years later whining that they were bombed! There is a lesson to be learned here that I doubt they have learned! Regardless though as Serbia is running out of countries in the Balkans to invade they are starting to have internal conflicts in their own country!

trizoq, there is no real evidence that Albanians were killing serbs before 1999. this idea was manufactured by the yugoslav-serb government in order to justify their crackdown against student protests. Ibrahim Rugova was leading passive resistance movements which were still met with force by serb police and yugoslav troops. it was the provocations and and killings by serbia that pushed Albanians to discard the peaceful resistance and taking up arms.

That is when the world saw that serbs prefer wars over peace! This should serve them as a reminder of what will happen when you go after someone's land! I get a feeling they have not learned anything from the last three wars they've started in the Balkans!

Rambouillet was capitulation on USD terms. If you go back in history the Austro-Hungarian empire also gave a very similar ultimatum to Serbia despite Belgrade having no involvement in the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand.. The Emperor and his Chief military staff wanted to go to war, but what is sad is that the Archduke was against attacking Serbia.
Serbia did not give in then and never gave in at Rambouillet.

Here's Serbia with 150 years of diplomatic tradition, with state organs and experts, with a superpower watching its back and non-aligned organization watching its side and every other advantage on its pocked, being outmaneuvered by Thaci that never expected to be in the spotlight of international politics only a few months before.

Serbs would give an arm and a leg now, just to have only half of what they could've had from Rambouillet. Twenty years from now they will give an arm and a leg just to have only half of what they could've had in they make an agreement with Albanians now. Listening to the Serbs on these pages though reminds you of empty buckets: a lot of noise but no substance. Same as 20 years ago.

The truth is the Serbian side did not want any troops in Kosovo to guarantee the agreement. That was clearly unacceptable. The request to station troops all over Serbia was a point in the negotiations that was meant to be taken out during negotiations in order to get a concession. It is one of the oldest tricks in the world, practiced even by kids. Ask for 10 in order to get 7. When they say that is why the talks failed, they are lying. The truth is in the last paragraph of the article, Milosevic did not want any troops in Kosovo to guarantee the accords. Then he said, OK I will accept peacekeepers from Russia, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, but not from the US or any other countries. He calculated a short bombardment of Serbia followed by NATO capitulating and saying: "we tried". NATO calculated a short bombardment of Serbia followed by Milosevic's capitulation. Both sides were wrong. I really wish B92 would publish a copy of the version of the agreement that Serbia signed. You are probably right.
Muslims in Bosnia, alongside their Serb and Croat counterparts, signed Lisbon Agreement, EU plan that called for independent Bosnia with wide autonomy for Serbs and Croats. Bosnian Serbs leader Radovan Karadzic signed too, for independent Bosnia (probably, to create Greater Serbia???).
On 28 March 1992, after a meeting with US ambassador to Yugoslavia Warren Zimmermann in Sarajevo, Izetbegović withdrew his signature. Warren Zimmermann denied that he told Izetbegović that if he withdrew his signature, the United States would grant recognition to Bosnia as an independent state. What is indisputable is that on the same day Izetbegović withdrew his signature and renounced the agreement.
Struggle for independence shorty followed, starting by massacre of 60 Serb civilians (including 17 children) in village of Sijekovac. He enjoyed wide political and other support for his war actions, including from EU dispite of his rejection of their plan. Let me point few things to you.
"Radical Serbs" (as Peter The Rocky Mountains, would say) accepted independence of Bosnia and autonomy within it. Something "non-radical" Albanians, for example, never did. And war started with Western support. They did not mind autonomy for Croats in Bosnia. But not for Serbs. War was not about independence, as this was granted without war. It was about not allowing Serbs to have any autonomy.
But, you are right. For all that we can blame Milosevic.

Tim Judah books are not "historical" but more on the side of fiction. Secondly, Milosevic was more than happy to have troops under the auspices of the United Nations in Kosovo, not NATO. Since when is NATO consider representative of the entire world? In previous conflicts, it was the United Nations that authorized peacekeeping troops, NATO become an offensive alliance and started the bombardment of Yugoslavia against international law. These western countries have used that precedent to illegal tear apart Libya and tried the same tricks in Syria as well as Iraq.

I don’t know how it could be any clearer! The Serbs seem miserable whereas the Albanians seem generally happy. Obviously, one group think they got screwed. There is no realistic settlement that will change that. Both sides will continue to remain respectively miserable and happy. Nothing is going ever to change this.
