@Peggy - Albanians are pretty loaded with cash compared to your compatriots. Clearly you haven't been in the Balkans for a little while. Its interesting to read all these comments by serbs trying to denigrate Albanians as if they are all poor. Last time I checked, people are living a quality life. Dont look at the official numbers as 50% of the economy in the Balkan area is in black... In the meantime, I wish you success building your life in Australia or wherever it is that you emigrated too like everybody else. I just came back from Miami where plenty of serbs are working in restaurants.

@njegos:

When you claim that everywhere Albanians are there's trouble ( not all of them are trouble) will you or perhaps someone else claim that in Macedonia even Kosovo that Albanian youths misbehave more than Macedonian & Serb youths that for instance in school it's the Albanian students who are more likely to use foul language and disrespect teachers more than the Macedonian & Serb students and that even in childcare centers that Albanian children are more likely to hit or hurt others more than Macedonian even Serb children? If you ask me I don't think it's like that simply because in every walk of life there's good and bad behavior among people.

@njegos,

Here comes the serbian hypocrisy! They want serbians in Kosova to have every right there is but when it comes to Albanians in Macedonia or Serbia they want them to be treated differently and not have equal rights as everyone else! With this mentality you all are not going to go far.

As always Serbs trying to cause problems between Albanians and Macedonians with these articles and these comments. The protests are not against Albanians, but against the agreement with Greece for the name of the country.

"The Macedonian government has also accepted an amendment of the Alliance for Albanians, referring to Kosovo in the Macedonian Constitution as "a neighboring state" - as well as another amendment, that defines that Macedonian citizenship, i.e., the term "citizen of North Macedonia," does not determine the ethnicity of a citizen."

It seems to me Zaev likes to appease the Albanian minority in so called Macedonia at the expense of the Serbian state. Pretty soon that Albanian minority will be the neighboring state of what is left of "Macedonia".

Interesting that everywhere Albanians are there's trouble. Is it any wonder why the EU won't allow visa liberalization in Kosovo? The Macedonian gov't. deserves everything they're getting. I wonder if they would recognize Kosovo if they had the chance to do it over again? Beautiful, just beautiful.

Why change the constitution from 'citizens living within borders' to 'all ethnic communities'? Why not change it to 'all citizens', that way it would cover both citizens within the borders and abroad no matter what the ethnic background is. That's strange to me. It's also crazy that the Macedonian constitution mentions any other state at all in its constitution, so the 'Kosovo is a state' part of it is again strange. Are the other bordering countries in there too? Being a citizen of Macedonia obviously does not determine your ethnicity, but you are still a citizen of Macedonia and should have Macedonian text books in ALL schools, and honor only the Macedonian national anthem, etc. Just like I'm a US citizen who it ethnic Serb. I don't expect Serbian text books in schools here. Just like there are no Mexican school books teaching Mexican perspective. Now you can have classes, or like the church offers Serbian school on Sundays at the church hall to help teach kids Serbian, but public education schools are US curriculums. The Balkan's problem is the ethnic groups in other countries (Albanians in Serbia or Macedonia, Serbs in Croatia, Croatians in Serbia, etc) all want the opposite, and that's what causes problems. You're a citizen of in this case Macedonia, and you should act like it. Keep and respect your ethnicity, but know what country you're the citizen of...just like I have to in the US.

Mario, I'll take your flat now :)

With shouting "Macedonia, Macedonia" these guys will go nowhere...but want also people who live in the territory of Northern Macedonia to go nowhere. Albanians living in Northern Macedonia are a constituent, extremely important of the country. Northern Macedonia can be like Switzerland in the future....

By reading the headline one would think the protest is against the agreement making everyone equal. Gj b92 for trying to insinuate something but i bet a serbian fiat that serbs will comment without reading the article.
