For now the problem in this small place is less haradinaj, more the "Donkey Hoxha" team of B92.

Let's call haradinaj for the sake of political correctness a "military leader". As long as "Donkey Hoxha - team" is here, no meaningful discussion is possible. Maybe that's what they want, heck knows.

(Honcho, 22 November 2018 16:38)

LOL Hocho, I thought for a second you wrote military commander - must have been a spell-check gone wrong. Haradinaj is your ordinary street thug involved with narcotics and smuggling, and let's not forget murder of innocent people - okay, I'll be nice, he's a night club bouncer at best. I think you might have over-extended yourself here my friend.

Kosovo can buy the same goods, from Macedonia, Albania, Turkey etc. at a cheaper price, on the other hand nobody wanted to buy what Serbia was selling but Kosovo who’s market was heavily undeveloped and was still relying on Belgrade through the transition period. Kosovo should have done this from the beginning. Money talks while bullish!t walks. I hope Vucic can explain all this to the Serbian farmers and manufacturers who relied on the trade with Kosovo, but hey atleast you’ll have just enough money to send another train with nationalistic slogans before the year ends.

What if Kosovo quits CEFTA? There is no issue then. They can do whatever they want with their own custom duties after that. They can leave CEFTA any time.
(Contractor, 22 November 2018 09:44)

Yes, but certain things were promised to Kosovars, nothing did realize. ramush haradinaj maybe hopes, he can force some deal with Serbia on quick before the end of the year.

Otherwise things look quite bad for him: no visa liberalization, losing few recognitions (not a big deal, but still a loss) and now he shot himself in the foot with this tax.

I feel, he is playing against his political opponents. First 10%, than 100% few days later - it's not a decision made in team of some government officials, it's a desperate game.

That's why military commanders should never become politicians.

You have suddenly changed tune just like your supreme commander Vučić last night when he literally begged Albanians to lift this tax of 100% because, as he said, it would be catastrophic for Serbia.

I thought you were saying for years that Kosova has no economy and that the Albanians are on the brink of starvation due to lack of money. Though, it looks, the money that Albanians don't have is crippling Serbia if they don't buy Serbian goods. I believe, only you are capable to explain this contradiction.

Kosovo is dependent on EU money. It needs these funds to run the police, administration and judiciary otherwise Pristina would last about two weeks before every thing collapsed into chaos.
Now that this has been established and that Kosovo is dependent on the EU, who is brave enough to declare that Kosovo will leave CEFTA considering its Brussels which put the pen in Pristina's hand and pushed them to sign it.

This is a typical example of cutting off your nose to spite your face. It is the reason Albanians are the most backward and poorest people in Europe. They really don't understand the message this is sending to the world and potential investors.

Those commenting here are just happy that their hatred for all things Serbian has been massaged, and they all live out of the region as those that end up suffering live there. Again, they wonder why everyone wants to escape.

Let’s see how well serb economy does without selling their products and no Trepca production.
(Azir, 21 November 2018 16:15)

LOL hey Azzie, nice to see you crawled back to B92 after what I can imagine was a embarrassing day for you and your ego yesterday after you lost your bid for Interpol. Seriously, why didn't you piss and moan here yesterday, or were you crying the bathroom?

Anyways, it's good to also see a day off hasn't had any effect on your mental incapabilities of understanding how the world works.

What does Trepca have to do with this laughable attempt by Pristina in imposing a 100% on on imports from the rest of Serbia? Do you somehow think that a failing and dilapidated mining complex in Serb-controlled northern Kosovo will somehow be off limits to Belgrade and cripple its economy? Can you offer some explanation of how this is connected to taxes?

Second, you do know that Serbia has an economy much larger than sending good down to Dardumbia, right?

I know you and every other dimwitted DingDong here are using this as some cheap and desperate way of looking defiant after your big loss yesterday, but seriously, this was attempted a few years ago, lasted a few days, and then was suddenly revoked when the Western powers that keep you alive, fed, and housebroken told you to cut the crap.

Maybe you should ask your parents to throw you down the stairs to rectify the brain damage you suffered when they dropped you as a child :)

Navi

Well, it didn't take long for Kosovo's latest unilateral stunt to annoy the EU, the US, and CEFTA. Everyone's telling them to revoke this act. It will most likely die down by the end of the week since Kosovo doesn't do anything without the approval of Washington, Berlin, and London.

Luck

pre 5 godina

The Interpol thing was a trap for the Vucic/Dacic duo. They have been playing a bad political game by focusing on Kosovo at the international level, knowing full well that the situation there is gridlocked. Nobody truly believed Kosovo would get in Interpol, just because the 2/3 majority is hard to get. But, if you keep blocking Kosovo and making it even more difficult for it to join big international bodies, there will be repercussions on the local level. Tariffs, sanctions, and who knows what else. This will not hurt Kosovo, we have said this time and time again, in 10+ years Kosovo’s ties with Albania/Montenegro/Macedonia have become so good that Serbia can be marginalized without cost. Hence the +100% response. This will be horrible for Serbia’s economy and Vucic’s grip to power. And again, good luck opening more EU chapters or joining it. Cyprus can’t help you, we’ve got Germany baby!!! Ahahahahahaha!!

Not even trolling (even though I enjoy it and I ruffle serb feathers left and right😂) but what does Serbia wish to achieve? They have no plan. I know you don’t believe Serbia will ever accept Kosovar independence and that is fine, you don’t have to accept it, but it will happen. With that said, Serbia is simply delaying the inevitable. The region needs to move forward, put this behind them and start building a future for their own people instead of spending 70% of their time fighting unwinnable battles while neglecting their own people. If Serbia focused 100% on Serbs in Serbia they would be so much better off! They wouldn’t be the pariah state that they are in the eyes of the world. Albania is doing better than Serbia these days! 😂

What the hell are you doing Serbia? You people aren’t stupid, you just spend time focusing on stupid things and waste those brain cells god gave you.

Kosova will prevail, not because they are “better” than you, but because their cause is just and usually the good fight wins in the world. Kosova is 95% Albanian and isn’t simply going to go back to Serbia, and they aren’t going to be stuck where they are forever dealing with Serbia. In the meantime....100% tax bit&hes! Being in Interpol doesn’t make or break Kosovars. Being economically strangled each and every day by Kosovars will be more painful. Stop the madness! Recognize Kosova or reap what you sow.

Serbs should simply raise their prices for products sold to Kosovo to compensate for the tax increase. One good turn deserves another. Vucic has to quit being so diplomatic and fight fire with fire. Besides, the population of Kosovo isn't very big and it's getting smaller every day. If visa liberalization ever occurs, those who can escape, will. Those who are left there, don't have any money to buy anything with the exception of the ruling criminal elite like the 'snake' and the 'nightclub bouncer.' What a comedy!!

The only portion of your claim that is factual is the fact that Kosovo is landlocked just like Serbia; the rest of the text is pure drivel.

Serbia currently does impose "a blockade on the Albanian authorities" and all goods with insignia of Made in Kosova or Republic of Kosovo -- this includes goods that transit vis-a-Serbia to elsewhere.

Kosovo needs to drop the 100% tariff and simply blockade all Serbian goods. Reciprocity is the only logical action.
