Who was with Serbia, which of our neighbors voted for Kosovo

The media published a list of countries that on Tuesday <a href="https://www.b92.net/eng/news/world.php?yyyy=2018&mm=11&dd=20&nav_id=105558" class="text-link" target= "_blank">voted against Kosovo's admission to Interpol</a>, as well as those that abstained.

JS, no more, or less, than Croatia, BiH, Macedonia, Albania, and Montenegro. Take the coasts away from throw of these and they're a third world country. Plus, I would rather live with their conscience than Croatia's - historically speaking, of course!!!
(CHi, 21 November 2018 11:24)

Well guess what, they have a coastline and you dont so bad luck.

You should check Serbia's own past before casting shade, ranging from the crimes of the 1990s to historical revisionism of their role during WWII. Given more recent events i would pick Croatia's over Serbia's any day - historically speaking of course!

Well the practice here is to celebrate Christmas Eve on January 6th and Christmas Day on the 7th. But Serbs don't celebrate for one day like in the States...

Serbs celebrate Christmas on the 25th December, just to keep you informed. You are confusing your calendars. Not sure about the US but in the UK and Australia, Christmas is celebrated over two days, 25th and 26th.
(Zoran, 21 November 2018 23:21)

Try telling that to my neighbors. They would want to hang you for celebrating Christmas on December 25th! We have reached a compromise; I celebrate on both days. It's like the Sunday-slava situation. They don't rest on Sunday but I do; and they celebrate slavas but I don't. So those turn into double holidays!

JS

Kind of, yes, it is well-known. The original topic was about SANTA and not Christmas, please do not divert it.

So on what days does Santa come in Serbia, Croatia, Hungary, Russia?
It's not on December 25, neither on January 7.

If you live in Juzna Srbija you should know the corresponding dates like 1-2-3. (Honcho, 22 November 2018 16:44)

But there is still a worrying trend here that Serbia is being supported by the wrong type of places, overwhelmingly poor countries run by dictators. "Those countries are just as economically prosperous as Serbia's neighbors that voted in favor of Kosovo's membership. Similar degrees of corruption, nepotism, struggling economy, and faltering democracy. The only difference is they get to vote their conscience while Croatia, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Macedonia vote the way they're told by an organization that decides for them.

I left poor, corrupt, struggling Albania out because I'm pretty sure they voted the way they wanted. They get a pass." (Navi, 21 November 2018 15:39)

Vast majority of your neighbors voted against you, but hey, as long as Myanmar is on your side I guess it's OK
(Avni, 21 November 2018 14:07)

It is because the "vast majority" of Serbia's neighbors were on the losing side yesterday. I'm sure they voted that way because they were promised some monetary reward to aid their failing economies.

That's an awesome list of economically prosperous countries that grant their citizens space to live according their conscience!
(JS, 21 November 2018 10:22)

Those countries are just as economically prosperous as Serbia's neighbors that voted in favor of Kosovo's membership.

They get a pass.

But there is still a worrying trend here that Serbia is being supported by the wrong type of places, overwhelmingly poor countries run by dictators. Please don't let your anger exaggerate the problems in neighboring Balkan countries because we're all about the same (so we end up pointing the finger back at ourselves).

I think his "belly dancing" is paying off, don't you ALbos think???
(Chi, 21 November 2018 12:04)

No. Here in this corner of the world other things are more important.
Like:
- how come a regular "Serb with American background" does not know even basic things regarding Serbian customs for this time of the year?
- how come a regular "Russian with American background" does not correct my typo citing a work of Griboyedov?

This is a set of issues of pre-school and middle-school level. The "victims" are adult men, with three farms in Serbia and Russia.
I mentioned a few times "nemecsek with all small". In Kosovo, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary this is a MANDATORY middle-school topic.
Who fails on that will have hard time with literature notes, a candidate to repeat his class or to drop out.

No reaction from the usual "patriots". What do you think?

BTW: my much-mentioned "American" wife is a teacher: a ruthless, merciless, sadistic creature.
She is 100% right!

I agree that if you take away the coast, Croatia would be doing a lot worse. The same for Montenegro. But BiH has only a few kilometers and Macedonia doesn't have any. The country that stands out is Albania. Long coastline but they're still dirt poor. I think the folks that rushed into Kosovo to declare independence from Serbia should go back to Albania and "Make it Great"!

Well the practice here is to celebrate Christmas Eve on January 6th and Christmas Day on the 7th. But Serbs don't celebrate for one day like in the States. They celebrate for three days (7th, 8th, and 9th). All told that's four days off work. And many tie their Christmas vacation together with New Years (Jan 1st) plus Serbian New Year (on the 14th). And the really Westernized and exceedingly lazy ones even connect this long string of no-work days back to "Western Christmas" on the 25th of December. Talk about a long holiday vacation!

And the likes of US, UK, France Germany are not dictators? Do you really believe they serve their people? They serve the globalists and impose laws on their own just like openly corrupt regimes do except they pretend they are democratic.

@ truthovic - What's your point?? Whats the difference?? The West's abortion project called "kosova" failed big time!!
Srbija is doing it's job!!
THAT is why the west is upset, not because it feels you Albanians are worthy to be in INTERPOL....open your eyes, Homer!

Being professional in texting, "VKontakte", Tweeter, Facebook and on-line porn is OK if you are 60+.

The main goal is to get people under 18 kind of prepared in literature, grammar, C++ and the math.

In order to do that she does not mind bloodbath, a gazillion of notes like "1" or "2" and extensive meetings with the parents.

If she fails - see the B92 trolls.

It's a big deal and you know it.
It takes away legitimacy. See you in Eurovision next May.

Serbs celebrate Christmas on the 25th December, just to keep you informed. You are confusing your calendars. Not sure about the US but in the UK and Australia, Christmas is celebrated over two days, 25th and 26th.

Now you should start apologizing to Zhukov for continuing to tease him about his silly belief in Santa Claus.
