"Whatever Kosovo is for US - for us, it is so-called state"

Whatever Kosovo and its government may represent for the US and Ambassador Scott, for us it is a so-called government and a so-called state.

"It would have been nice had he shown an ounce more of respect for the host country," Vucic said on Scott

The silly reporters from the Banana Republic of Serbia should have shown more respect when asking questions to the ambassador of the USA.
They should have rinsed their mouths clean and gotten rid of all Serbian idiocies before speaking to one of the most important people in Serbia (the US ambassador).

Peggy: "Do you not think that Serbs had worse treatment and still do by constantly being harassed and even the dead not allowed to rest in peace."

No, I do not. Serbs have had up until 1999, the full power of the state behind them; they have had the best jobs in police, army, administration; Under colonization programs in the 30's and later in the 50's and 60's, they would get free land and housing just to settle in Kosova. They still get free housing just to settle in Kosova, like the "Sun Valley" project demonstrates.
And after 1999, they had the protection of KFOR, guaranteed seats in the Parliament, in government, const court.
To say that Serbs are persecuted today the way that Albanians were persecuted in Yugoslavia is the hight of hypocrisy.

Believe me, you would know, if you were forced from your house into a cargo train to a muddy refugee camp. If you were lucky to have made it with all of your family members alive, or your sisters, daughters not being raped, and your money not stolen by the Serbian police.

Albanopolis, you can say all that and change Serbian police to Albanian terrorists and add have your kidneys intact.
Do you not think that Serbs had worse treatment and still do by constantly being harassed and even the dead not allowed to rest in peace.
Take a look in the mirror before you come here making accusations.

"If you were free as you keep talking about, then why do they want to force Serbia to recognise Kosovo"

Because it would eliminate a perpetual threat of conflict and increase the stability in the area. Because it would remove tensions and set up the Balkans as a peaceful neighborhood, not as a powder keg as it has been throughout history. To most normal people these would be good and noble objectives to pursue. But I guess not if you are a war monger.

"I have no idea where you get this Serbia is frustrated since Serbia did"

I get it from reading their statements to the press. It's obvious from their tone that they are frustrated. It's also obvious that the reason for their frustration is not what Scott said, but something else entirely.

I don’t know what freedom tastes like when slowly cooked in a pot? But I do know that fresh air does not fill the belly.
This comes out of the NYT 15 February 2018.
“I swear to God, if it wasn’t for all those who have laid down their lives for this, I would say let’s go back to the way it was before,” one man told me. “We had a better life then; we had more opportunities.”
If you were free as you keep talking about, then why do they want to force Serbia to recognise Kosovo. I have no idea where you get this Serbia is frustrated since Serbia did not go to Congress and make any statements there. Now that would be frustration.
Regardless Scott’s term is over.

It might surprise you, but the US has recognized Kosova for 10 years now. You might want to check it up. Its the clown car of the so-called Serbia that is frustrated, not the ambassador.

I agree that PtRM's comment should not be tolerated. But if all insults and foul language would be filtered then not many of sj's posts would see the light of day. Not that that would be a bad thing! I think we could all do with less comments from those "two peas in a pod."

Sadly for you guys Kosova is a so called state otherwise you would not be on this site.
Yes, the US has recognised Kosovo but Serbia has not and that is the crux of the problem. It’s a stale mate for Kosova and it continues – you guys work crappy jobs in the EU to support your people in Kosova otherwise its starvation time.
Now Kyle Scott came to Serbia thinking just because he speaks Serbian the Serbs would forget the bombing with no success despite donating left right and centre such as a 1.5 million Euro modern biochemical laboratory.

He was angry and expressing his frustration that the Serbian people will not “play ball” according to the US.

For us, Kosovars, Serbia has been a so-called state for 30 years. It continues to be a so-called state, especially after these outbursts from the immature clowns at the helm of its government.

Why are you surprised Vucic, the US has recognized Kosova 10 years ago.

Although occupied by radical-Serbia which was much more sophisticatedly armed Kosova unofficially always had a standing army fighting off Serbia with what little they had, providing martyrs in the 100s for the past 100+ years!!!
Now, The Republic Of Kosova will have it’s Officially recognized standing Army recognized and supplied by its international allies!!!
The time has come to tame radical & expansionist serbia once and for all, and it looks like the Republic Of Kosova will be given that duty by its partners!
