Although infrastructure and government services are somewhat lacking, we have a nice mixture of countryside, from the fruitful plains of Vojvodina to the rolling woodlands of Sumadija to the mountains of the south. We have archaeological sites from the Roman period. We have natural hot springs, as well as cool mountain springs.

Each citizen is created by God and endowed with strength and intelligence (not that we always use it the way we should!). There are many opportunities, if we take advantage of them. We need to rise above political machinations to work for the good of each other and the glory of God. Even if borders and administrations change, the land will not disappear. Look at the opportunity we have to till the soil, raise faithful children, and reap the blessings.

Kosova was invaded by Serbia in 1912 and was liberated in 1999. That's 87 years. Minus 4 years of WWII, it's 83 years. Minus four years of WWI, its 79 years. In the history of the Balkans that could hardly be called "always", in fact it's just a sneeze.
The Serbian kingdom that emerged from the Ottoman Empire and that eventually invaded Kosova, was not a continuation of the Serbian Empire of the middle ages, neither in lineage, nor laws or state organization. Even that Empire ruled Kosova for only about 150 years.
By comparison, the Ottoman ruled Kosova for 500 years. The Bulgarian Empire for 250, the Byzantine Empire for 700 years, Rome for 500, and the Kingdom of Dardania for 250 years.

There was no such thing as Uskub Vilayet. Uskub (Skopje, Shkup) was a sanjak and part of the Kosova Vilayet. In Kosova, two thirds of the population was Albanian, and one third was slavic (Bulgarian and Serbs).

Kosova was invaded by Serbia in 1912 and was liberated in 1999. That's 87 years. Minus 4 years of WWII, it's 83 years. Minus four years of WWI, its 79 years. In the history of the Balkans that could hardly be called "always", in fact it's just a sneeze.
The Serbian kingdom that emerged from the Ottoman Empire and that eventually invaded Kosova, was not a continuation of the Serbian Empire of the middle ages, neither in lineage, nor laws or state organization. Even that Empire ruled Kosova for only about 150 years.
By comparison, the Ottoman ruled Kosova for 500 years. The Bulgarian Empire for 250, the Byzantine Empire for 700 years, Rome for 500, and the Kingdom of Dardania for 250 years.
