Dodik knows that if he gives doesn’t cause problems with the bridge in Souther Croatia, Serbs will not have any problems crossing through Croatia to get to Austria or Germany or even taking the highway through Croatia to Belgrade. It cost him nothing but get him everything.

It’s a crap article by the New York Times because anything the US is not involved in, is a white elephant, but what they don’t tell you is the railway line is everything about transporting Chinese goods. That’s why they are building it. There is some good will involved here, but it’s purely for transporting of Chinese goods. If the Chinese want to build and pay for it who is Serbia to say no?
One thing I know Croatia is being over looked in all projects. Even the white elephant rail line is going on from Budapest to Vienna then to Berlin with a branch line to Slovenia then Italy. No Croatia LOL.

End of war in Croatia the population was 4.5 million today its 3.8 and no one invests in Croatia. In the last 4 years 260,000 have left plus more leaving each year with Slavonia region nearly empty. Give it 4 to 5 years Croatia will be the biggest retirement village in Europe.

Meanwhile the Bosniaks, aka Croat allies during the war who they stabbed in the back, are eliminating Croats from Bosnia. The newly elected Croat representative intends to sue over the Pelješac Bridge. It’s a win win situation.

Passage through Croatia is something that Zagreb cannot block – there are agreements in place between the EU and BiH. It’s out of Croat hands.
Zoran Milanovic tried that a couple of years ago and over ruled by Brussels.
Plus, if someone wants to drive from Osijek to Dubrovnik is it easier to go through Bosnia or drive all the way around? Blockade is a double-edged sword and Croatia’s shape is like a saddle so access to the most southern parts are quicker through Bosnia.
