If the S300 is scrap metal and the IDF has superior weapons, then why have they pressuring the Russians not to sell them to Iran? Why bother since according to many here the superior Israeli weapons are far more advanced and would have no trouble in taking the S300 out.
Here is the problem, boys and girls. The S300 is a mobile unit and all mobile units are extremely difficult to take out. If it was stationary, then that is different situation. In cases where the unit is stationary you can take it out with a SCUD missile.
The S300s will bring down IDF planes and the Israelis will no longer be able to declare they rule the skies and that is why Israel is very worried. It was controlling the skies because no one would sell Assad anti air missiles but now that is different. He may not take out every plane, but it will certainly make a difference.
One more thing IDF uses US technology. Yes the same one that produced the vastly superior F35, which is so superior it cant fly during a thunderstorm LOL.

The current US administration sells billions to radical Arabs of the Middle East.
