Vucic time to focus solely on Serbia's best interests - these are not European "friends" never have been and looks like never will, focus on reforms that truly are in Serbia's interest and stop pandering to EU who have only their interest at heart rather then the good of all. Surely the collapse of Yugoslavia was not enough for many to realise that EU (and let's not forget US) care not an ounce for anyone's interest other then own political interest.

The Serbians are a lot smarter than most people think. Brnabic was interviewed last week and asked would they join the EU if offered tomorrow. She replied no, they were not ready citing judicial and other reforms still required and it would not be finalised until 2025. If you listened carefully to her response you would get the same view – Serbia will join the EU ever; they will take all the money on offer for infrastructure and in 7 to 10 years’ time say bye bye EU.
The problem with Merkel is more about BiH. If Kosovo is broken up then BiH is next and the EU aka Germany will have to deal with remnants of what’s left and fund it forever and that is what’s concerns her.
