Macedonia could join NATO as early as January 2019?

NATO won’t take no for answer. Just like the mafia, which it resembles. Bullying and arm twisting until you give in to their demands for total and complete control and the end of your independence.

Well they held a referendum and only 36.6% voted but of that number about 16% voted No to the question and 20.6% were Yes votes. The vast majority refused to vote since its the only way to avoid the referendum being manipulated into a resounding Yes vote and yet the pro western PM Zaev declared that 91% voted Yes and he will pursue joining NATO and changing the name of the country.

Its true that referendums are not legally binding including the Brexit vote. Now in the UK the government did not say they will still stay in teh EU they are negotiating to leave while in Macedonia the same west is pushing for joining NATO and EU despite a resounding No vote by the people.

This is the last nail in the coffin of western democracy.

The referendum turn out fell well below 50%, or didn't Jens notice? Does he care? No. Maybe he will suggest sending NATO soldier there to make sure a second referendum gets the right result? That's the EU democratic standard, vote until it goes the right way.

i see that now 1 euro is 118,480 dinnars is a trend from 118 to grow at at least 119 , Forint is 323 up from 297 ,zlot is 4,3 up from 4,15

nice depreciation of Hungaryan corency of 10% , Turkish lira i even don`t know how much it was and i even don`t know how much is now but is over doule or triple more weak than around 1 or 2 years ago

our LEU is 4,65 4,66 since over 1 year in a row and before decline it was 4,56 calculate as %%%%%

THE REASON I AM AGAINST SERBIA is that i envy them for fought against GERMANS + NATO and because they excel in many sport games , i am for the weak Albanians , same as in Champhions League when all people want big teams to lose

The referendum clearly states that the people say NO to a name change, simple. NATO is a dark cloud to begin with. NATO was put to the test when the Turkish coup happened a few years ago. Where was NATO to help one it's members? Why didn't NATO help Erodgan take control back of Turkey earlier? Instead, NATO sat on it's hands and watched the Turkish coup unfold, watched as thousands of innocent military died or were arrested, watched as the Turkish presidential palace was stormed by coup members trying to kill the President. I wouldn't feel safe with NATO's empty promises of protection, they smell of corruption and false agenda's.

I don't see anyone bullying Switzerland to join NATO, so why it little old Macedonia so important? Macedonia can be successful by being neutral too. We don't need to be sell outs. If the greedy Macedonian politicians are so set on joining a union, there are other unions they can join.
