Hrtkovci had to be fully blocked by the police in order to stop Vojislav Šešelj and his falanga from harming Croats. I guess, for you, this event qualifies as a promotion of the minority rights of Croats in Serbia.
(Tom L'Orizi, 24 August 2018 18:05)

Talk about crocodile tears. Albanians kicked out all non-Albo nationalities including Croats from Kosovo.

What you going to do? wet your pants LOL? Everything is shutting down in Croatia and soon 4,000 will lose jobs in shipyards because EU told Croatia no more money to prop up industry. 4,000 direct jobs mean thousands more will disappear as well.
You can Haplo all you like but people no admit they are Croats even Bujevci in Serbia are demanding that Vojvodina pass a law to say they are not Croats. Croatia is finished – in 4 to 5 years it will be one big retirement village.

Maybe you should've waited till Croatia fulfilled their obligations first as they surely won't.
(Peggy, 23 August 2018 22:42)

So, according to your logic, if Croatia stops arresting thieves, Serbia also should not arrest thieves because Croatia does not arrest them either lol

Dear, you are a bit confused. Serbia enforces Serbia's laws because that benefits Serbia's citizens, not because of what other countries do or don't.

I disagree, and no, he shouldn't have. Croatian minority in Serbia are Serbian citizens as much as I am with Serbian ethnicity. Most of them lived here since they were born. It is not fair to take it out on them, any potential conflicts.
====================
@eh, nobody is talking about taking anything out on anyone. Croatians in Serbia are not treated different to anyone else in Serbia. They are not persecuted and I am not suggesting that they become persecuted. Seeing how they enjoy all the same privileges and obligations as any other citizen, obviously Croatia is asking for extra benefits for them that others don't get. In other words, Croatia is asking that they are given more than others.
All I'm saying is that I disagree. If they want something more than is offered to other Serbian citizens then Serbia can use that as a bargaining chip for Serbs in Croatia to be brought up to the same level as an average Croat in Croatia. At least treat Serbs in Croatia as well as any other citizen. Extra benefits would be waaay too much to ask for when they can't even get basic rights.
Hopefully you get my point now.

... I can't remember the last time the Croatian minority in Serbia felt openly discriminated and harassed by a pack of marauding Serbian nationalists.

You are blessed to suffer from the intentional amnesia, but some of us mortars are not as blessed as you and have to remember things.

On 06 May this year, Vojislav Šešelj and his thousands of brainless Serbs were heading to Hrtkovci to get them (Croats) what they needed to make them feel happy - to use your president Vučić's vocabulary.

Hrtkovci had to be fully blocked by the police in order to stop Vojislav Šešelj and his falanga from harming Croats. I guess, for you, this event qualifies as a promotion of the minority rights of Croats in Serbia.

So, if a national minority doesn't ask for things in Serbia, the Serbs will not bother to think first what that national minority would be in need for to feel good - even if that minority is not aware of the attainability of things they are entitled-to to "feel good".
(Tom L'Orizi, 23 August 2018 17:57)

Look at it this way: the Serb minority in Croatia has been actually asking for things for the past 20 years, and all they've gotten are a series of "U" graffiti symbols over smashed signs in Cyrillic.

And Croatia's supposedly the "better" country in the EU.

I can't remember the last time the Croatian minority in Serbia felt openly discriminated and harassed by a pack of marauding Serbian nationalists.

Serbs are always making concessions to those they perceive as stronger (Croatia) and bullying those they perceive as weaker (Kosovo). Those are the "values" of Serbia and everyone sees it.

Me thinks you need psychiatric treatment and soon since your posts do not make sense at all. You try so hard to show a more sophisticated and learned approach but it sounds silly. It really is the big mystery why Croatia has not been compelled to return the property they looted from their citizens who the forcibly expelled ( eyhnivally cleansed)
there has been absolutely zero effort by the EU to right this wrong, let alone Croatia. Actually, not even the Serbian government.
Serbs should be returned their property in Krajina and elsewhere with immediate effect. it is beyond belief we test our citizens of Croatian heritage with such deference, yet they do nothing.
I demand immediate restitution to all refugees, all religious sites reconstructed, and the return of all Croatian Serbs with full rights as Croatian citizens.
