Merkel speaks against "changing borders in Balkans"

Apparently Germany thought they had that right in the 90s, 1940s and 1914-1918. And that actually all over Europe, including their own borders. I think they are the last to comment on changing borders.

Yet it’s ok to change Serbia’s borders. Give me a break.

After the last elections Merkel's authority has waned dramatically. Her refugee policy has done her a lot of damage and forced her to partner up with the far right just to stay in power. It maybe her wish to keep the borders as they are, but she has no power to stop any changes. Anyway Putin will be there this weekend for a BBQ and he will explain how things work.

Germany supported border changes in Balkans multiple times in history and primarily for its own interests, taking always from Serbs and giving as much as possible to Albanians and Muslims from Bosnia. What a hipocracy!

I was paraphrasing Vucic who is duping Serbs into following him by using the threat of losing the territory of Southern Serbia to Kosovo.
He personally may not use such racist words but he demonises Albanians so that Serbs become afraid of them and he has plenty of supporters & newspapers that are willing to translate his dog whistles into blatant racism.

Last calculations there are over 500,000 less Albos in Kosovo, naturally all had to leave due to high living standards there plus over 1,000,000 have migrated from Albania in the last decade. Macedonia would be in a similar category - I dont have any figures there but it is doubtful that Albos have not left to greener pastures. Now unless Albos are rabbits and can multiply in great numbers overnight...... If not you should go back and replenish the vanishing ranks as soon as possible.

I think no state outside of the region shall make any statement regarding the borders here.
This can be only discussed bilateral with consultance of diplomats from somewhere this kind of problems were solved recently. If that exists, Sudan still has problems also they might not be directly linked to the secession.

Unfortunately it would need wise politicians and neither Vucic, Thaci, Dodik,... are the right persons for that. I guess there are better chances by selecting randomly 100 children, adults are already too much influenced by politicians and medias

Yugoslavia gave a lot to Albanians in Kosovo. In the 1970s and 1980s factories/industries would work two or three Saturdays a year and the pay for that day and earnings from the sale of the production was donated to a fund to help the poorer parts of Yugoslavia aka Kosovo and to some extent Macedonia, but Kosovo was the primary recipient.
Government child support was given, and water and electricity were charged at absolute minimum tariff. Literally it was given away.

i am satisfied for someting only 4% gdp grow but most big gdp grow from Eu in quater 2 +1,4% all others under +1 Bulgarian +0,8% , Polish +0,9%

I am in favor of independence for Kosovo but it wont work if people are tricked into it. I wish that Serbs could have an honest conversation about it and realise that it is for the best.

When I point out that most Serbs vastly over-estimate the death count for Jasenovac, I am told that it is becasue I am a Serb-hating Nazi-Croat.
But this is a first where two different readers read the same comment, with @sj calling me an Albanian and @Anton calling me a racist Serb.

Previously sj said that Russia should invade Kosovo and put all the Kosovo Albanians in camps or expel them to Albania, now he wants Albanians to leave Serbia and go back to Kosovo so I guess that is some progress in his thoughts.

Apparently Germany thought they had that right in the 90s, 1940s and 1914-1918. And that actually all over Europe, including their own borders. I think they are the last to comment on changing borders.

It is strange for For Merkle to be vehemently opposed to a Kosovo division having come from a country that was yearning to be put back together. Perestroika was the worst thing that could have ever happened to Russia, look at the outcome. Gorbachev should be considered as an enemy to the Russian nation and held liable for grand treason. We would not have these problems if it were not for Gorbachev.

Perhaps you should count all your Albos and see what's left to occupy LOL. Last calculations there are over 500,000 less Albos in Kosovo, naturally all had to leave due to high living standards there plus over 1,000,000 have migrated from Albania in the last decade. Macedonia would be in a similar category - I dont have any figures there but it is doubtful that Albos have not left to greener pastures. Now unless Albos are rabbits and can multiply in great numbers overnight...... If not you should go back and replenish the vanishing ranks as soon as possible.

I think no state outside of the region shall make any statement regarding the borders here.
This can be only discussed bilateral with consultance of diplomats from somewhere this kind of problems were solved recently. If that exists, Sudan still has problems also they might not be directly linked to the secession.

Unfortunately it would need wise politicians and neither Vucic, Thaci, Dodik,... are the right persons for that. I guess there are better chances by selecting randomly 100 children, adults are already too much influenced by politicians and medias

Yugoslavia gave a lot to Albanians in Kosovo. In the 1970s and 1980s factories/industries would work two or three Saturdays a year and the pay for that day and earnings from the sale of the production was donated to a fund to help the poorer parts of Yugoslavia aka Kosovo and to some extent Macedonia, but Kosovo was the primary recipient.
Government child support was given, and water and electricity were charged at absolute minimum tariff. Literally it was given away.
