This sounds more like desperation coming from the west, as they know their opponents, our friends are getting stronger and time is running out. That's why they see an ultimatum as the last option.

I doubt very much it will be over for Serbia and I doubt things will be worse than what we have already been through. Serbia is linked to the region and punishing Serbia will punish the region, which may cause uprisings in our neighbourhood.

Best option for Serbia now is to wait this one out. Looking at our neighbours, Greece, Turkey, Bulgaria and Slovenia all look towards Russia as their protector while Romania is not far behind.

The west made a huge mistake taking sides in the breakup of YU, siding with fascists, terrorists and Islamic fundamentalists. The free world cannot let this succeed.

Pre 1999 there were 1.8 million Albos in Kosovo. Today we have over 500,000 no longer living in Kosovo but in the EU and never to return while the young people leave at every opportunity. Pre 1999 Albos in Kosovo had large families but today the young people have one or two at the most. So what do we have left in Kosovo? Mainly the old and people who could not find work in the EU. Has the EU or US made any attempt to improve employment or living conditions in Kosovo since 1999? Not in the slightest. There is a huge Kosovar diaspora in Germany, Switzerland, the rest of W Europe, but also in US and Turkey, due to steady immigration ever since the Serbian occupation. I was in Kosovo twice in 2015. I travelled with a friend who works for the Commerzbank in Germany and he was there on official business, so I saw plenty.

I remain in contact with this person and at the suggestion that unemployment in Kosovo was below 30% he just laughs and says name all the industry that has relocated or opened shop there. In fact nothing has changed since the early 2000s only that people leave at every opportunity.

That link proves that 2014-2015 was not as bad as 1999 when KiM was under full Serbian control. According to the link that you provided, about 100000 Albanians left Kosovo in a time frame of about 6 months in 2014-2015. That's a fraction of the 700000 Albanians who departed Kosovo in a time frame of about 3 months in 1999 because of the deliberate actions of the forces under the control of the FRY and Serbian authorities.

2.1 child per woman is needed to achieve simple population replacement. Roughly, since this replacement rate depends on quality of health care, etc.
In countries with more infant deaths higher child per woman ration is needed for simple population replacement.
Population replacement means that in that case population of the country would neither increase nor decrease over time.
That is in 0 migration scenario (nobody leaves, nobody moves in).
Kosovo was recently established at 2.01 (same as Turkey) - still bellow replacement!!!
Add to it that population migrates from poorer countries to more developed countries, and you have a picture.
Fact is that European population is in decline without immigration.

I was in Kosovo twice in 2015. I travelled with a friend who works for the Commerzbank in Germany and he was there on official business, so I saw plenty.

I remain in contact with this person and at the suggestion that unemployment in Kosovo was below 30% he just laughs and says name all the industry that has relocated or opened shop there. In fact nothing has changed since the early 2000s only that people leave at every opportunity.

Perhaps he is mistaken so can you name all the industry that has opened there?

Why doesn't US and EU start negotiations with "Kosova" for their membership and ignore what Serbia says?
They threaten Serbia with no entry to EU unless this is resolved when it's completely unnecessary. Just offer "Kosova" the membership, leave Serbia out in the cold and they win.
Any takers on why they don't do that? I want to hear from Albanians especially on this.

SJ, 500k voting outside Kosova, would be a low turnout. There is a huge Kosovar diaspora in Germany, Switzerland, the rest of W Europe, but also in US and Turkey, due to steady immigration ever since the Serbian occupation. Serbia not only encouraged Kosovars to immigrate, but it forcefully removed them before WWII to Turkey and Albania.

Also, I'd rather take the official statistics from the Bureau of Statistics of Kosova, than make up number out of thin air.

That link proves that 2014-2015 was not as bad as 1999 when KiM was under full Serbian control. According to the link that you provided, about 100000 Albanians left Kosovo in a time frame of about 6 months in 2014-2015. That's a fraction of the 700000 Albanians who departed Kosovo in a time frame of about 3 months in 1999 because of the deliberate actions of the forces under the control of the FRY and Serbian authorities.

Few comments were about population trends in Serbia and Kosovo.
I'll say something about that.
Let's look at this chart. European births per woman.

2.1 child per woman is needed to achieve simple population replacement. Roughly, since this replacement rate depends on quality of health care, etc.
In countries with more infant deaths higher child per woman ration is needed for simple population replacement.
Population replacement means that in that case population of the country would neither increase nor decrease over time.
That is in 0 migration scenario (nobody leaves, nobody moves in).
Kosovo was recently established at 2.01 (same as Turkey) - still bellow replacement!!!
Add to it that population migrates from poorer countries to more developed countries, and you have a picture.
Fact is that European population is in decline without immigration.
