"It's not true that Macron is closing EU's door to Serbia"
The headlines in Serbian media about French President Emmanuel Macron closing EU's door to Serbia are not correct, says French Ambassador Frederic Mondoloni.
French constitution foresees a mandatory referendum before enacting any enlargement. As of today I'm certain that a majority of french voters will vote against and I don't see a chance for this to change until 2025.

Your Excellency, having listened in French what E.Macron said in the EU parliament, it was clear that according to him, it is not the moment of enlargement of the EU. Nevertheless according to the German media, EU is ready to admit Albania and "Macedonia" as members.
Monsieur L’Ambassadeur, la Serbie fait des efforts remarquables pour devenir le membre de l’UE, mais l’Europe en occurrence na paie pas attention a tous ces efforts. De plus, la nouvelle rependue d’acceptation prioritaire d’Albanie et de la Macédoine démontre bien qu’il n’y a pas des critères précis pour devenir le membre de l’Union. E.Macron joue la politique américaine qui manque de sincérité et de l’honnêteté.

2070 will be the future perspective for Western Balkans to join the Union but when the time comes WW3 will break and EU will collapse.
Thank you we don't want ur carrot since Turkey,China or Russia are knocking to our doors.
Europe shall give Serbia and other Balkan countries (that are outside EU) a break with all these rules and regulations that are being imposed on us to be accepted by EU. If Yugoslavia was given a break as well in 1991, millions of refugees, billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands or lives would have been saved. Give us a break for the greater good since other parties are exploiting weaknesses of our systems, remnants of Yugoslavia and burden of Ottoman and Austro-Hungarian empires. If EU don't act seriously, it is a plain field for Russians, Chinese and Turkey to meddle with the weak states that barley can survive as it is. Please fast-track acception to EU like they did with Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia and Baltic countries. Leave aside petty issues like Kosovo - Serbia disputes, Macedonian name, Bosnia and Hercegovina internal nationalistic disputes, Albanian corruption,... Etc...
All of them will be solved by itself and ourselves, but only with CLEAR fast-track path forward to EU.
No mixed messages please that can be exploited by many (like this) !!!
Think about bigger picture - security, unity, no soft belly of Europe, Rule of Law and security to travel and enjoy life everywhere, no trafficking of any sorts, less export of crime, better living, consumption and Happy workforce and expanded markets.
Please, please, please... HELP BALKAN!
