the border of Kosovo was drawn during Yugoslavia's time. It became the border of the independent republic of Kosovo in 2008. The legality of the border was established by the Kosovo parliament, by the Kosovo constitution, by 110+ countries that recognize Kosovo as independent, by the ICJ (thank you Vuk "over my dead body" Jeremic), and by the government of Serbia, who agreed to ask for permission every time they send somebody.
