A monument to Milošević?
This is very very sick.
Do Serbs not even remember that just over 20 years ago Serbs demonstrated across the country against this dictator? No memory? Brave Serbian people who loved freedom protested two enemies: NATO and an internal brutal rule over them. Who is twisting the minds of young people? Trust me, it is not "The West" some love to hate.

Better bratstvo i jedinstvo then your Ustasa mentality.
Milosevic and his friends from the other republic broke up Yugogoslavia. Warning voices were ignored and some even had to leave the country.
(Tito reloaded, 12 March 2018 11:07)

I am a Serb not a Croat so I can’t be an Ustasha, but if it makes you feel better call me a Chetnik.

The reason Albanians such as yourself loved Tito was because of the enormous benefits he gave Albanians in Kosovo. Free from land rates, no water charges etc. The rest of Yugoslvaia had to work several Saturdays per year to pay for this luxury.

This has all disappeared and now if you don’t pay you don’t get. It’s called the western system. Get used to it becasue Tito is not coming back.

You should be the last to comment on anything. Why don't you mention that Croatia is pining to canonize (make him a saint, in case you didn't know what it meant) Cardinal Stepinac. One of the biggest murders during WW2 under the guise of the Catholic Church. He was such a brutal asshole that even the Nazi's were grossed out by his antics.
(ChiTown, 10 March 2018 21:26) Chinatown aka Belgrade like a famous Croatian said. We and the Empire stand apart. Like I have said to lost Djurkovic the Roman Catholic empire will be destroyed along with the Orthodox one. Croatia will be one of its undoings but before it comes about. Their will be hell to pay for the God-less wicked inhabitants of the Earth.

“ADEM JASHARI Heroj i Kosovës “

He's not a hero, he murdered a police officer of the state.

He was a terrorist.

Yes, his statue belongs in Belgrade, the war crimes capital of Europe! Please also create a statue for Hitler, Stalin and of course Serbia's current favorite dictator, Putin. Serbia should really apply to become part of Russia, it does not belong in Europe.

I don't think your playing down of Milosevic's many crimes is going to change any sane person's mind. Nice try, however!

Let me know when you plan to lay flowers at Milosevic's monument. I'll be sure to take my dog for a walk by Slobo's monument and let him water your flowers.
(The Count of Kosova, 10 March 2018 06:34)

Let’s see Thaci was on Interpol’s list for criminal activities and haradjin was a renowned criminal; that is until they converted to freedom and democracy and you have the gall to talk about Milosevic.

Slobo’s mistake was he did not leave Kosovo in ashes. I told you that he had his faults. I certainly would have done that without losing a minute’s sleep.

You take your dog for a walk? I thought you guys eat them.

How many industries have your western bros brought to Kosova? Surely the US would have gone out their way to reduce the extreme level of unemployment?? I know since they left all that depleted uranium they believe that will reduce that problem.

You think that Milosevic broke up Yugoslavia LOL. It was planned while Tito was still alive mate. The break up was planned in the 1970s. When did the ordinary people have power in Yugoslavia? If you criticized Tito or the government, off you went to prison. It’s people like you that live in fantasy land.

However, Tito is in Belgrade, why I don’t know, but you can try and revive him and bring back your Bratstvo i jedinstvo

Which crimes was Milosevic found not guilty? Slobo committed suicide before the war crimes trial was over. Please provide evidence that he was acquitted and of which war crimes. Please be specific.
Thanking you in advance,
(The Count of Kosova, 11 March 2018 00:27)

To prove he was guilty he had to stand trial, even thought the Tribunal is a joke, but it was far easier to let him die by not giving him proper medical attention. They had NOTHING on Slobo, absolutely nothing and that is why that problem was overcome by neglect.

They can't be if those still alive are about to be indicted for war crimes.

The KLA was a terrorist organization before the US State Department removed it from their list in order to ally with it. Kosovo's "founding fathers" are mostly war criminals, murderers, drug dealers, and leaders of organized crime syndicates. That's why there's a special tribunal set up exclusively for the KLA.

You really didn't think this one out, did you?

(Nikolle, 9 March 2018 18:27)

I do not know a single one in Serbia (or a Russian in Russia - or even in Serbia's biggest sympatiser, Belarus) for real. As you may guess, I know quite some people in the real time. True, most are techies.

But even if I include the ones from street or AirBNB or what-not.

My bet is, the support for that statue is minimal and it never will be erected.

The views whom he is more guilty against do differ, that depends on ethnic background.

The general view (and here I can talk for some K-Albanians, too) is that he was a major loser, mafiosi, psycho, pussycat, carrier-centric, dishonest, manipulative (etc-etc-etc), but not a war criminal (simply because he did not have guts even for that).

His wife could be a war criminal tough, at least it's what generally people talk about.

Let's forget about all the nasty job around YU for the moment.

In addition to all above, he sponsored the murder of his mentor and "Best Man".
And in addition, once being pressured, he signed agreements no one in sane mind would.

The icing on the cake: he despised and looked down on everything even remotely Russian (I learned that from quite authentic Russian sources).

No wonder that once in trouble his new friends by convenience were quite confused and reluctant to help. Of course, the economic turmoil in Russia did not help, but Russians were quite wondering, why out of sudden they became so much "loved".

Trizo

At least he didn’t let scum UCK terrorists get away without punishment.

How shameful most of the houses Albanians live in were illegally obtained (forcefully or whilst Serbs were away from their homes you set fire and rebuilt like it’s your own).

On a positive note for Serbia, we have records & historic facts, so unless we sign Kosovo over and pass something by constitution, we will always have restitution and will have it back soon enough.

You’re all living a fairy tale dream. There’s no ‘new’ countries in this world. It doesn’t happen, unless of course you steal and squat *cringe*

Milosevic was a died in the wool communist. He was more concerned about his own power than he was about the Serbian people. He was a protege of Tito's who was no friend to the Serbian people. Milosevic sold out the Krajina Serbs and had as much to do with them losing their ancestral homeland as Franjo Tudjman did. Holding on to and glorifying the vestiges of the communist regime will only stymie any progress Serbs hope to make. A monument to Draza Mihailovich, a true Serbian hero, makes more sense and is long overdue.

Slobo doesnt deserve a monument. He was very corrupt and would use his banking connects to print money for his campaigns. He also siphoned money to Cyprus. He made numerous strategic blunders regarding Krajina and Kosovo-Metohija. Also put sanctions on RS and they still won in Bosnia despite his obstruction. He wasnt the war criminal that Serbia's enemies made him out to be (as later confirmed even by kangaroo ICTY court), but he was no hero.

Yet more Proof to the civilized world that Radical-Serbia still holds all the strings in Serbia & continues to support the same barbaric policies of the past!!!

Well over 150,000 innocent people were murderd in cold blood by the policies of radical Serbia & the radical mad man Slobodan Milosevich which was its leader during the 1990s in a bid to create a greater Serbian monster state on the blood of innocence with aggression first directed at Slovenia then Croatia and Bosnia, and then finally towards a mostly unarmed Kosova, brutally killing thousands and forcing 100s of 1000s from their homes in the middle of winter!!!

Milosevic was connected with the murder of Ivan Stambolic and the four murders on the Ibar Highway, but also with direct or indirect influence on the events in all the former Yugoslavia's battlefields, especially with the events of the such as the mass killings in Srebrenica, events in Vukovar and the like. He was charged with crimes against humanity in Croatia and Kosovo and genocide in Bosnia-Herzegovina by the Hague Tribunal.

sj,
I don't think your playing down of Milosevic's many crimes is going to change any sane person's mind. Nice try, however!

Let me know when you plan to lay flowers at Milosevic's monument. I'll be sure to take my dog for a walk by Slobo's monument and let him water your flowers.

Yes, his statue belongs in Belgrade, the war crimes capital of Europe! Please also create a statue for Hitler, Stalin and of course Serbia's current favorite dictator, Putin. Serbia should really apply to become part of Russia, it does not belong in Europe.

I never expected anything ales. [I think you meant "less"]
(Albanian American, 12 March 2018 13:18)

Of course you didn't because you know it's true. Beneath that Albanian propaganda of denialism, you know he's a terrorist. You just don't want to admit it.

A great idea. Milosevic made many mistakes, as we all do, but if he did not take action Serbia would not exist.
(sj, 9 March 2018 22:03)
Mistakes of most people do not end up in war. And if somebody wants to split up a country with his friends from the other republics to get power and to steal from ordinary people that is not a mistake. He was a traitor like his friends the nationalists from the other republics.

Are there Serbs that genuienly pine for that man?
(Nikolle, 9 March 2018 18:27)

Only on the Internet. I can't imagine anyone in Belgrade with an IQ higher than a single digit who would want this. The only value I could see in a statue to Sloba is that, like the statue of his counterpart Tudjman in Croatia, it will serve as a target for bird droppings.

Tito reloaded

However, Tito is in Belgrade, why I don’t know, but you can try and revive him and bring back your Bratstvo i jedinstvo

A small neighbourly advise.

Erect him a statue including the horse too, and put glasses on the horse. Just make sure the carved inscription explains who's who.
