The biggest thing forgotten is the U.S. foreign policy wanted to keep Milosevic in power. They feared his removal at that time would disrupt their New World Order hidden plan of dismembering Yugoslavia and would strengthen Serbia's possition. All of what they west did would not of been possible.

This is very interesting topic and to me it sounds like the same script of the democratic movement in Albania. Students took to the streets but it took us 10 years of demonstrations and anarchy to to get rid off the communists who became socialists in the meantime. We were true in our ideal to bring a change but we were probably used. Which doesnt make Drashkovic or Berisha traitors of course. Both capitalized on people's anger and hope for a change. The people was made up of privileged young and rebel persons who were ready to die about Drashkovic or Berisha. With no reason, none of us had a history of family persecution by the regime and we were grown up in relatively liberal environment. Those we had really suffered in jails were too weak or maybe too smart to believe in a change. The problem is when you see the same script being used in any single former communist country it is normal to think we were probably used.
