Up until now Croatia did not press the issue, I guess they see that now is a perfect time when Serbia would be more inclined to settle the open issues with Croatia before they get into the EU.

This guy Matic is the example of what is wrong with Croats and their thinking processes. Firstly, Serbia never went to war against Croatia so that document is really worthless as far as that is concerned otherwise Croats would have taken Serbia to court a long time ago. Matic said Croatia should avoid seek reparations since Serbia can claim on behalf of the Serbs killed by Croats in Croatia and BiH for WW2, but what amazed me he went on to claim that then Croats could claim for WW1 - hello??????

Poor man does not realize that on both occasions the Croats sided with the Germans LOL. First as part of the Austro Hungarian empire and then as NDH. I said it, there is something wrong with these Croats - probably in denial.

does this include war reparations for Srb victims of Albanian, Croat & Bosnian crimes?
(Watcher, 9 February 2018 21:27)

It does not, because Albania, Bosnia and Croatia did not attack Serbia...

Kosova, Croatia, and Bosnia should seek War reparations from serbias aggression as a united team of ex-Yugoslav territory's!!!
These ex-territory's were extensively damaged, looted, not to mention the extensive human suffering serbia inflicted upon the civilian population of these ex-Yugoslav territory's!!!
This would also serve for reconciliation between all
These country's!

@ Petey - does this include war reparations for Srb victims of Albanian, Croat & Bosnian crimes? or do we forget about them and just have reconciliation happen with that?
If you want to be respected with your comments, then at least be fair to ALL who suffered injustice...otherwise, this "reconciliation" is worthless if ALL criminals of ALL ethnicities are not punished! Grow up!

The reparations were in article 7 of the agreement signed in Belgrade on August 23, 1996 by Milutinovic and Granic when Croatia and Serbia normalized relations. They were subsequently determined to be $ 37 Billion USD.

Other parts of that agreement which were carried out were succession of SFRJ, the co-operation of finding missing persons, amnesty to all Serbians who took up arms against Croatia (except war crimes). There were also agreements signed at that time on pensions as well as the opening up transport and trade routes between the two countries. The reparations part of the agreement was not carried out due to other events taking place at the time which included the peaceful re integration of Eastern Slavonia and Tudman’s illness.

Up until now Croatia did not press the issue, I guess they see that now is a perfect time when Serbia would be more inclined to settle the open issues with Croatia before they get into the EU.
