I don’t disagree with you. Those statistics on wages are fairyland stuff, but it’s what the Croatian government claims is the official minimum wage, which is total non-sense. You don’t have such a high minimum wage, but then have over a quarter of a million-people leaving Croatia in a short span of time seeking a better life elsewhere.

Why would they leave if wages were so high? They are not high at all. I was in Croatia in 2015 and Croatian medium wage was the same as in Serbia, Є250 to Є300 per month. The rest is garbage.

Mir, thanks for letting us know you have a higher income than Serbs. You government also tells a tale of your minimum annual income is $20,000. Do yourself a favor, go count if you have $2,000 in your pocket this month? If you do, you should afford more than a cup of coffee and enjoy a decent meal in Zagreb with us foreign tourists.
Thanks for teaching us about Croatia, we are learning....

rivernextdoor

pre 6 godina

sj, I sincerely doubt those statistics, plus average income in many parts of the world including USA doesn't reflect the real average citizens' true financial status.
I was in Zagreb twice recently and I saw it with my own eyes. Local folks can only afford a meal of five Euros, they don't go to places where we foreigners go where a dish normally costs 10 euros.

Mir, you wrote "Keeping it short cause your ignorance doesn’t deserve any more."

I know you like it short. Hate is made of four letters, and it doesn't require a brain either. It must be your favorite.

Mir, if you have a higher wage, why do you only afford a cup of coffee in Zagreb in summer time not even a decent meal? We took a train ride to Beograd, where their restaurants were filled with locals.
You are citing empty numbers and why not looking at your own pocket, its not that hard. What a poor ignorant you are!
By the way, your railway system is on par with the third world countries, so shabby and outdated. Another bad news for you, China is currently assisting Serbia upgrade her railway system. Who help you? Perhaps you ustases are too busy cleaning up 18 million foreigners' sh$t?

Mir, you certainly recovered a bit, and as a sign, the length of sentences you constructed improved by a half inch. Apparently, you are conscious of not losing face to Kosovo Albanians, aren't you!

You wrote, "Keeping it short cause your ignorance doesn’t deserve any more."
Let's keep it short, I am the one not only drinking coffee in Zagreb last summer, but enjoying a decent meal while watching you finishing your cup of coffee and fleeing the dinner table because your pocket is too shy.
Talking about Tesla, what a shame of you!
You are not only an ignorant Croat but also one suffering poverty.
A freebie for you poor Mir: 18 million foreigners' sh$t is your Croats' bread. A good joke, and cheer up!

Serbia will only join under its own terms. Vucic is already preparing Serbia for a referendum – you should have seen Johannes Hahn’s face when Vucic mentioned that at the press conference – it was priceless. To say Hahn was gobsmacked would be an understatement and this guy is a seasoned diplomat.

Now your Croatia is part of the EU and in the last 2 maybe 3 years over 260,000 Croats (mostly young and qualified people) have left never to return. In 2016, about 40,000 Croatians lost their jobs and in 2017 its 65,000.

A few weeks ago I watched on HRTV Dnevnik a young couple who were migrating to Canada giving the reason for their departure. Both were in IT and had jobs in Zagreb. The woman said there was no future for their children in Croatia, so they must move. Why would they have to do this?

Yet according to Croatian Government Croatia’s minimum annual salary is KN131,500 or Є17,424 or US$20,587. Since, Croatia is reaping Euros by the basket load and paving the roads of Zagreb with gold? Why isn’t Croatia prospering?

I may be wrong, but I would say that the EU is more mythology than fact. It gets better with the telling like the size of the fish that got away.

If Tesla was educated in Croatia, then so was the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Tesla went to a gymnasium in Kralovac while the Roman Emperor graduated in Split Polytechnic LOL.

The sad part about this claim is that Tesla did not even study in Krovatian LOL. German was the spoken language then and the education system was Austrian LOL. Your ignorance is incredible.

There are no Serb waiters or dishwasher since the Ustashi threw them out so it must be the Ustashi that doing these jobs.

On the question of higher wages, according to Croatian Government Croatia’s minimum annual salary is KN131,500 or Є17,424 or US$20,587 – paper tolerates every claim. However, there are no jobs and in the last couple of years 260,000 young and qualified Croats have left Croatia never to return. Croatia is so successful its population is now below 4 million.

Now the real answer to the wages question? Croatians have the same wages as in Serbia and shortly Serbia will leave Croatia behind since all this new industry is opening in Serbia while not even a soda can has opened in Croatia.

Lawsuits will go both ways. Remember the damaged caused by Serbs?

You know what, I’m okay with that. Anyone that lost their home on either side of this conflict should be compensated.

The compensation won’t be one sided!

Remember who was educated in Croatia......Get ready for it TESLA...lol

If Croats are full of waiters and waitresses, that would mean Serbs are the dishwashers and bathroom cleaners.

I know you know the answer to this question because of your education. Who has higher wages, Croatia or Serbia?

Time for you to wake up and get a grip on reality.

Mir, you wrote "NATO...too easy"

Have a hard time of constructing a basic sentence? Your entire writing consists of simplest sentences with no more than 4 or 5 words maximum. Go read what and how Serbs are capable of write. Even Kosovo Albanians here, who have the highest birth rate and lowest literate rate in Europa, demonstrate far superior writing skills to you. What's wrong with your Croatian education system? Because both of the groups surpass you, isn't reasonable to assume Serbia's education is superior to yours?
Mir, to be fair and courtesy, let's point out one superiority of Croatia:
Croatia, as a Balkan nation, has a largest army of waiters and waitresses than all other Balkan nations combined.
Feel better now?

Not many properties belonging to ethnic Croatians or Albanians were damaged on the territory of what is Serbia today.
In Hungary people waited 45 years or more, from 1948 to 2000-s.

Than the lawsuit and reparation mess started.
Same in other countries.

In Russia people waited from 1917 until 2000.

Guess, what will happen if Serbia is in EU.

They will sue the hell out Croatians... in the EU, not in Croatia.

The lawsuits will be private I guess. And they will sue for citizenship, for an other million reasons. There will be always a little backdoor for an other lawsuit not covered by any bi-lateral agreement.

Remember, 2000 - 1917 = 83.

Lawsuits, legal mess after 83 years, who would expect?

Ataman

To Mir in the case he is not a troll

The past won't be forgotten - just put aside.
Today you can bet on the on-going controversies between EU and Russia.
You do not know what will happen on that front in 30 years.
But you can bet, Croatia will be flooded with civil lawsuits regarding properties lost as a result of Oluja.

"I guess Croatia did something right....they beat you guys. They have their own Country. No longer controlled by Beograd. Have 18 million visitors a year.
What do you have? Nothing! "

So Mir, can you be more specific what you did right? I saw you could not afford a decent meal in Zagreb in summer time but a cup of coffee, while under Serbian occupation, you were able to vacation in the West? More than twenty years passed, What did you do wrong? Just don't tell me it's Serbs' fault.
Let's leave your grand homeland liberation war and what other people have or have not aside, and focus on your coffee, which is simple for any brain, assuming it's not completely destroyed by hatred.
Apparently, you don't have to answer me; I don't expect anything honest from you anyway. But I am sure many Serbs here will be delighted to watch you shooting your own feet. You are way too consumed by Serbian nation and people.

rivernextdoor

pre 6 godina

Can you be more specific what "every war" Serbs lost? I am afraid it's a tall order for your peanut-sized poisoned brain? You certainly need someone help you with what major wars that Serbs have won: the first and second Balkan war; the WWI with other major great powers; the partisans with a Serb majority beat your ustase in WWII; Serbs making 1/3 of Bosnia population and take 1/2 its territory as their own independent RS while you have to be stuck with Muslims who you absolute loath, so incompetent!
I know you are disappointed and even shamed with your own incompetence. When your ego is bigger than your own head and shoulder, you become sick.
By the way, I don't count on your peanut-sized poisoned brain to figure out I am not from Balkan like you!

rivernextdoor

pre 6 godina

Yes, as a tourist I have vacationed in Croatia twice recently, but I am still learning something new about Croatia; this time is about your broken education system.
Apparently your school fails to teach you that;
1. Before your independence in the 90s, your land has been ruled by Italians for centuries then later by Austro-Hungarians, you even had to pay insurance to buy safety from Turks for a good while. Yes, let me repeat: everything historical and beautiful I saw in Dalmatia and Zagreb are either Italian or Austro-Hungarian. I did see more and more checker prints though to your credit.
2. According to you, you were ruled and suppressed by Serbs in recent times till you brave Croats beat them back with bare hands in 90s. Then let's have a honest comparison of life under brutal Serbs' oppression and under your own nose: Before your independence, you could afford to vacation in the West and happily came back; nowadays, you can't wait escaping to the West to find a job. A big difference, isn't it? By the way, those are not my words but words from Croats I met in Zagreb. What I saw with my own eyes were that in summer time and in Zagreb, Croats came out to the street only afforded a cup of coffee not even a decent meal! Why don't you argue with me on that? You have no fact to support your grandeur ego, but churn out empty poison words like beating me to a smaller border..., Serbs lost every war.... You certainly can't see anything under your own nose, can you?

rivernextdoor

pre 6 godina

Some Croats are angry here; sorry, I feel your pain.
I am not sure I can ease your pain, but I certainly would give a shot.
First, you didn't beat me to a smaller border. I was born and live in one of great powers on the planet. So, please don't even try for your own sake.
Secondly, let me copy what many honest Croats told me while I vacationed there twice recently. And keep in mind, those are not my words but Croats': Croatia is indeed a poor country, the 90's war is stupid, and the good old days when they were able to vacation in the West and happily came back home, but now people could not wait to go west in order to find a job.
Nice to know you are happy that Croatia is Europa's Thailand. You should, Croatian women are more respectable; they provide foreign tourists with all sorts of services as waitresses, bartenders etc, but never anything inappropriate. For that along, you should be proud.
Cheer up!

Croats aggrieved....100 per cent. Serbs crossed the Border...became the Aggressor. Took 33 per cent. Bombed, killed, raped...destroyed. Left like the bunch of B’s that they were when Oluja started. 2 days to clean up the mess. Not one bullit or bomb on Serbian soil. Not one house destroyed on Serbian soil. (Avni, 8 February 2018 20:40)

Me too Avni!!! First, because I would prefer that Serbia stays out of the EU. Second, I wouldn't allow a Former Nazi State to have any control over the ascension process; thus, I would slowly back away from the EU process if there is any prerequisites or complexities brought forth by a historical and modern enemy - I think if Serbia starts to show any reservation in regards to joining the EU, they will panic and succumb to a more fair process. The EU wants to integrate the Western Balkans in to Europe, and I believe they will not let Croatia cause any issues during this process - they will get their hand slapped again...

Croatia will not stop putting conditions until Serbia recognizes the genocidal Nazi NDH and ethnic cleansing operations like Oluja were legitimate moments in history that were inspired by the Croat peoples just cause for independence.

Zagreb has a pathological obsession with Serbia. Their an anti nation first and foremost. Their desire is to oppose Serbia whenever, wherever. They will not stop and there is nothing Serbia can do about it.

Except for decide that EU membership is not for Serbia. Then it quite literally wont matter what Croatia even thinks. Serbia will be eroded, a process that started in 1941 to right now if it continues down the path towards EU membership.

Correct me if I’m wrong but all I used to read on this site is Serbia wanting to move closer to Russia and not the E.U. All of a sudden Serbs are crying poor about how Croatia will make it hard for Serbs to join. What do you people actually want ? Naturally Croatia is going to make it hard when you have Vucic visiting Croatia to breakdown barriers but then all of a sudden wanna be Chetnik Vulin opens his mouth and everything goes backwards. Serbs need to be taught diplomacy before they become politicians. Grow up Serbia solve the border issue and stop causing problems.

For that along, you should be proud.

rivernextdoor

pre 6 godina

Yes, as a tourist I have vacationed in Croatia twice recently, but I am still learning something new about Croatia; this time is about your broken education system.
Apparently your school fails to teach you that;

The past won't be forgotten - just put aside.
Today you can bet on the on-going controversies between EU and Russia.
You do not know what will happen on that front in 30 years.
But you can bet, Croatia will be flooded with civil lawsuits regarding properties lost as a result of Oluja.

Ataman

pre 6 godina

Because both of the groups surpass you, isn't reasonable to assume Serbia's education is superior to yours?

Croatia, as a Balkan nation, has a largest army of waiters and waitresses than all other Balkan nations combined.

sj, I sincerely doubt those statistics, plus average income in many parts of the world including USA doesn't reflect the real average citizens' true financial status.

It's a "math" of a very unfortunate Canadian-Serbian person, Lenard does not exist in real life. That person hates everything within 2000 km radius from Belgrade.

See his blog.

Very likely Lenard is his creation and B92 is merely a place he releases the steam.

Slovenia used blackmail to prevent Croatia from entering the EU over borders and then fraud in the arbitration hearing. Pretty rich for them to now to say Croatia will hold region hostage.

Ataman

74% of you should be cheering on all of the tough requirements required to join.

My feeling is that your heart and pride tells you not to join but your brain is telling you that it would be best. Now lets see if your pride is stronger then your brain, or if you can separate them and do what you truly know deep down is best.

Our heart and brain tell us that EU is the worst possible club to join. Where do you see us crying over demands? The only time the demands mean anything to us is if Vucic was to meet them.
I don't see any Serb here wanting to join EU. If you do then we must be reading a different article.

Cheer up!

Yes, as a tourist I have vacationed in Croatia twice recently, but I am still learning something new about Croatia; this time is about your broken education system.
Apparently your school fails to teach you that;

If Tesla was educated in Croatia, then so was the Roman Emperor Diocletian. Tesla went to a gymnasium in Kralovac while the Roman Emperor graduated in Split Polytechnic LOL.

The sad part about this claim is that Tesla did not even study in Krovatian LOL. German was the spoken language then and the education system was Austrian LOL. You ignorance is incredible.

Craotia is so successful its population is now below 4 million.

Now the real answer to the wages question? Croatians have the same wages as in Serbia and shortly Serbia will leave Croatia behind since all this new industry is opening in Serbia while not even a soda can has opened in Croatia.

74% of you should be cheering on all of the tough requirements required to join.

By the way, your railway system is on par with the third world countries, so shabby and outdated. Another bad news for you, China is currently assisting Serbia upgrade her railway system. Who help you? Perhaps you ustases are too busy cleaning up 18 million foreigners' sh$t?

sj, I sincerely doubt those statistics, plus average income in many parts of the world including USA doesn't reflect the real average citizens' true financial status.
