Russia will care what EU thinks of Crimea?
Whoever wrote it is a dwarf inside out, who is never capable of taking care of his own business.
I am not saying Russia is a super power, but a power great enough not to ask someone else permit.
The problem in Balkan is that you are all too weak, and someone else has been dictating your fate.

sj

according to EU's own website, Serbia is the largest recipient of EU aid/assistance/donation in the Western Balkans, so by your logic, that would make Serbia's gov. under the payroll of EU taxpayers...that you have stupid logic is really your problem

(Nikolle, 14 February 2018 11:08)

Serbia gets about 220 million euros per year from the EU and when you divide that sum with the number of people in Serbia its not enough to buy a cup of cappuccino for a week. Its called buying influence.

Not everything is on the websites.

so by your logic, the EU bankrolls Serbia's government? dear me, you are beyond saving
(Nikolle, 13 February 2018 14:41)

You could not be this silly if you tried so it must be a born gift.

sj

oh dear, you really are grasping at straws here, were we to take your assertion at face value, it'd mean that Thaci is under the payroll of EU taxpayers. However, do not take my word for it, visit EU's own website and you will find out that what you claim is not true, but now apparently the EU keeps this hidden! the EU also gives money to Serbia, but it does not mean that Serbia's gov. infrastructure is under the payroll of the EU.
(Nikolle, 13 February 2018 13:10)

I also know that when straws are mentioned it always means people like you have no idea what they are talking about. Not all budgetary matters are on websites, since the budget papers for the EU are like a encyclopedia.

If it gives money to Serbia it means the Serbian government. How dim are you? Do you think that the EU goes out into the street of Belgrade or Nis and hands out 100 Euro notes.

I think its time for you to take a pill and a nap.

I knew you Albos are thick, but I never realise you guys were this thick. Kosovo does not have the working population base to be able to raise revenue through taxation. The EU does have compliance clauses on this aid sunshine. The money is allocated through programs.

The programs are administered by various banks since that is the most practical way of doing it, one such is the Commerzce Bank in Germany, and that is why they go there regularly with auditors to check the books.

If it wasn’t for EU aid Kosovo would have nothing, well the one on earth woud’nt, but I have no idea about Mars perhaps that’s the one you are talking about.

Nikolle

pre 6 godina

Oh dear...sunshine, do you actually believe that Mr Thaci is under the payroll of EU taxpayers? Are you really that dim? Do you need think the EU would insert compliance clauses were they to bankroll the judiciary, the parliament, police force etc? Yes the EU has spent a lot on Kosovo, but not to keep the gov. afloat...that's just nonsense...

sj

pre 6 godina

Not everything is on the web. Its done in packages and programs under the EU budget so a lot of this stuff does not appear as specific aid to Kosovo, but if you don't believe then how does Kosovo survive when it has little to no means of raisin g money?

Nikolle

pre 6 godina

right...except, EU's own web page tells you where the money is going, so my opinion is immaterial, as is yours. are you now telling me that the EU is posting lies on its own web page?

(Nikolle, 13 February 2018 10:10)

The aid is in what they call packages and have various names, but its aid regardless. I am amazed anyone would believe that Kosovo could sustain itself LOl. It has an official unemployment rate of 45% so where is the taxation base???? You need to use a different calculator. Stop dreaming and go there.

sj

pre 6 godina

Let me believe? Oh dear, you must think that your approval means something to me. What I wrote is absolutely true, EU money in Kosovo is spent on Eulex, NOT on Kosovo gov.infrustructure.

(Nikolle, 12 February 2018 22:53)
#

I could not care less what you think. EULEX has a separate budget to the aid money.

I’m talking about the aid that the EU gives to the Kosovo government to run its administration, police, judiciary, education system etc.

Pristina does not generate sufficient funds from taxation to be able to function on its own. This is fact not Albo Voodoo economics.

sj

pre 6 godina

Sunshine, the EU does not pay for Kosovo's gov., that's just nonsense...what the EU pays for is EULEX...there are undoubtedly funds that are channelled for say education programs, but these are independent of the gov.
(Nikolle, 12 February 2018 14:05)

Well sunshine I hate to burst your Albo bubble but the so called Kosova government would not be able to function if it had to rely on taxation since Kosova has an official unemployment level of 45%, which is more like 80%, but if it makes you happy, feel nice and warm keep on thinking that Pristina earns enough through taxation I will not stand in your way.

It never ceases to amaze me to what lengths these Albanian will go to keep the myth alive despite Kosovo having no tourism or industry nor the fact that if it was not for relatives sending money back most would starving.

(Nikolle, 12 February 2018 12:20)

Have you been to Kosovo at all? I have. Kosovo has no industry or tourism and the main employer is the government. Yes, there are some small businesses such as restaurants, shops etc but nothing to call home about.
I was there in 2015 with a friend who works for Commerzbank, Frankfurt. He was there on business because the bank administers some of the non-existent EU aid that does not help run Kosova.

sj

pre 6 godina

I think you're getting confused sj...the 'aid' that you speak of, are to do with EULEX, a program which in independent of Kosovo, as in, it is not run by Kosovo institutions but rather by the EU itself.
(Nikolle, 12 February 2018 10:35)

The EU pays for everything not just Eulex. If this aid was not provided by the EU there would be no police, judiciary, court system etc.

The EU pays for everything in Kosovo not just EULEX. It provides aid to Pristina otherwise there would be no police, no administration; nothing.

"...since the west does not provide any social security in Kosovo"

but according to Watcher...they do...so one of you is wrong
(Nikolle, 9 February 2018 12:57)

I may have been in error here. I think the “welfare” Watcher is talking about is the total aid the EU gives to Kosovo each year to run the administration and it is a substantial sum of money. However, I was referring to social security aspect of that aid (pensions, unemployment benefits etc), but only government employees would receive any form of pension and unemployment benefits are non-existent in Kosovo, and what few pensions are paid out can easily be covered by Belgrade.

@ nikolle - Waffle? really? maybe you can explain what "less than independence, more than autonomy" means in your opinion! Recognization as a country you won't get, that's for sure and Pristina will not settle for less than than that...so tell me, Sherlock...how do you see a "binding" deal..
I had the guts to tell you what I think realistically it should be, you tell me what you realistically think!
"Nothing short of full Independence" is a non-starter, even your "friends" in the west understand this...so knowing that, give me your best "waffle"!
As far as living off others money, I didn't imply you personally, but "kosova" as a whole...I also make my own money!

Since the West has failed one after another on their own to conquer Russia, they finally figure out "Let's do it together". The only clear plan EU ever had and will have is anti-Russia as a political and economic tool while NATO as a military tool, all the others are rhetoric, merely serving this plan. That's why EU is happy to include more poor European countries in, and the poorer the better the cheaper the blood, to continue their failed conquest so precious German, French and British can sit home being safe and happy to watch.

come one sj
that is what makes Serbia and Greece so special they think what they want is more importanat
(Sam, 9 February 2018 01:04)

First, Greece is the cradle of western civilisation and even the halfwits in Washington accept that and to deny that would be to deny their very existence.

Serbia is important because of its strategic geographic position in Europe. Berlin to Istanbul via Serbia, 3 days. Berlin to Istanbul to Berlin around Serbia is 7 days.
I can travel from Istanbul to Italy without passing through Macedonia, Kosovo, Albania, Montenegro or Croatia, but I can’t get from Italy to Istanbul without going through Serbia. That is why Serbia is so important.

" Serbia, a country infinitely poorer than the EU, how the hell will it pay for it? Do you ever think before posting?
(Nikolle, 8 February 2018 18:07)

My fellow Serb, Watcher is far more diplomatic than I am. I will be brutally honest on how “the hell will it pay for it?” First rule of finance; if you have a monetary problem you get rid of the problem, in other words you reduce the number of people that receive social security – make it hard to get any. But I have no idea what the problem is since the west does not provide any social security in Kosovo the same will apply under Serbia
And what little is covered by Pristina can easily be covered by Belgrade.

Europe will not do the same mistake twice.
Kosovo was the European problem since she was given to Serbia in after WWI. Conflicts in the first occasion.
Kosovo was given to Serbs even thought there were not Serbs living but Albanians.
Is easy! Serbs will try to portray every word as a win - but in fact Kosovo was never Serbian till the begining. If it was Serbian she has not to be an Autonomus Province and now Indipendente.
Europe is just correcting her mistake and it will not be on Serbian favour even though as I says Serbs know that Kosovo never belonged to them as much as Vojvodina never belonged to them.

Just be patient, and try to resist.
Russia is just pressuring EU for its own problem of Crimea - and she will sell Serbs in the first occasion EU will give the green light for Crimea.
Be patient! We are in the right side!

EU just admitted, they do not know what to do with Serbia and Kosovo.

Looking at his misfortunes - he obviously wasn't lucky in his job and could not sustain the stress. In addition to that he seem to made a huge mistake: moving to a completely new place alone.

Let’s be honest the eu, aka the unelected commission has no real idea about anything, and just bumbles along with only one aim, to make the eu larger, so that they can gumaren’tee the huge pensions they award themselves.

I think you're getting confused sj...the 'aid' that you speak of, are to do with EULEX, a program which in independent of Kosovo, as in, it is not run by Kosovo institutions but rather by the EU itself.

Nikolle

Sunshine, the EU does not pay for Kosovo's gov., that's just nonsense...what the EU pays for is EULEX...there are undoubtedly funds that are channelled for say education programs, but these are independent of the gov.

Let me believe? Oh dear, you must think that your approval means something to me. What I wrote is absolutely true, EU money in Kosovo is spent on Eulex, NOT on Kosovo gov.infrustructure.

right...except, EU's own web page tells you where the money is going, so my opinion is immaterial, as is yours. are you now telling me that the EU is posting lies on its own web page?

The aid is in what they call packages and have various names, but its aid regardless. I am amazed anyone would believe that Kosovo could sustain itself LOl. It has an official unemployment rate of 45% so where is the taxation base???? You need to use a different calculator. Stop dreaming and go there.

sj

pre 6 godina

Not everything is on the web. Its done in packages and programs under the EU budget so a lot of this stuff does not appear as specific aid to Kosovo, but if you don't believe then how does Kosovo survive when it has little to no means of raisin g money?

Oh dear...sunshine, do you actually believe that Mr Thaci is under the payroll of EU taxpayers? Are you really that dim? Do you need think the EU would insert compliance clauses were they to bankroll the judiciary, the parliament, police force etc? Yes the EU has spent a lot on Kosovo, but not to keep the gov. afloat...that's just nonsense...

Nikolle

oh dear, you really are grasping at straws here, were we to take your assertion at face value, it'd mean that Thaci is under the payroll of EU taxpayers. However, do not take my word for it, visit EU's own website and you will find out that what you claim is not true, but now apparently the EU keeps this hidden! the EU also gives money to Serbia, but it does not mean that Serbia's gov. infrastructure is under the payroll of the EU.

I think its time for you to take a pill and a nap.

sj

so by your logic, the EU bankrolls Serbia's government? dear me, you are beyond saving

You could not be this silly if you tried so it must be a born gift.

Nikolle

according to EU's own website, Serbia is the largest recipient of EU aid/assistance/donation in the Western Balkans, so by your logic, that would make Serbia's gov. under the payroll of EU taxpayers...that you have stupid logic is really your problem

Serbia gets about 220 million euros per year from the EU and when you divide that sum with the number of people in Serbia its not enough to buy a cup of cappuccino for a week. Its called buying influence.

Not everything is on the websites.
