We follow (and had to follow!) the education level in countries of Middle East.
This is easy to explain - both my wife and myself had to participate in math olympics (to a certain degree, at least).

My close female (ex?) friend has a largish thing on her wall, signed by Ronald Reagan - for her accomplishments in math studies. An other friend (in BY) has a gold medal for her achievements in all topics of science.

I have to say... the level of education (again, we have to know our competitors!) in countries of Middle East is just a disaster.

In international competition they come in, sign in - and walk away in few minutes.

Our competitors from (East) Germany, France, YU, US, USSR, Romania, Hungary... are tough, tough, tough, nightmare (to deal with at the competition).

As much as you fear them - their level of math knowledge surpassing yours is a good sign.

In one case you deal with your future supervisors at work, so be humble.
In other case you deal with heck-knows-whom. Maybe future colleagues, maybe future terrorists. The education is a disaster there. They have to fix it.

I can't find any news about albania or kosmet albanian representatives sending their condolences to the Egyptian government and victims of this disgusting terrorist attack. Why is that?
