Take a look at France as an example who waged a lots of wars. Population year 1806. 29 million, NATO membership year 1949. 41 million, year 2017. 65 million. So France added like double more people in 68 years period as an NATO treaty member then as an non NATO treaty member in 143 years period. So go figure.

Serbian regimes are well known throughout the history with its policies "throw under the bus Serbs in the West" while those Serbs in the West supported Serbia financially and consequences of those policies were extremely bad for the Serbs in general and others. Currently in NATO treaty countries members there are more than two point five million Serbs who supports financially Serbia and guardians of the more then 180 Serbian Orthodox temples which are about to be "thrown under the bus" again with current Serbian foreign policy which will bring again horrible consequences throughout the time. When the Serbian people will learn from their historical mistakes? In United States of America, United Kingdom, France etc there were no such referendums to join NATO and they were smart enough to made friendships with each others by joining to NATO instead of to wage wars in between each others like they did.

Is it true or is it false that under Nato supervision Nato member Albania has become a fierce little Colombia in the heart of Europe? True. So Ms. Milic Nato membership and EU membership are two different perspectives that are in fact separated from each other. With Nato being a political and military alliance (and not an organization of filatelists as Shoigu said) whose primary goal was and remains the unprincipled war on Russia. After the dissolution of the Warsaw Pact there was no compelling need for Nato to survive. But there is the need for all the network of Nato burocrats worldwide to receive their good salaries. These people live on rent and their real only real estate is their pathological rusofobia. No wonder Germany and France are pushing hard for the EU army. Lets see if that project will also be created as an anti-russia tool. So my advice is Stay away from Nato. You don't need it.

@ Sam This is not about being truly independent but this is about being an humiliated colony occupied the nazi way. Occupied and humiliated. The 8 year old Nato member Albania is not considered strong enough to police its own airspace and seas but can send a simbolic presence in afganustan? Why? What have being doing for 20 years the italian mission experts and the american experts to our ministry of defence ? I believe Mr. Kentera and Ms. Milic want just to justify their good salaries so they need to organize this kind of conferences. Say if you become part of Nato, some of your officers will have Nato salaries. Thats the only benefit here. In return you'll be reduced to a real colony and obliged to bark against Russia 24 h 7 days. Why these two "experts" don't speak about Nato's membership real "benefits" but the only focus is Russia?

Serbia is too important a factor in the Balkans to be neutral and cannot sit on two or three chairs. Montenegro tried it, too, but eventually we decided to look to the future, not in the past, and Serbia should look at what is in the interests of its citizens, not Russia, America and the EU," Kentera said

Mr Kemtera , did you let your citizens decide with a vote?, in their interests?
NO))
Mr Kemtera, you would not have got a YES vote to join NATO with your citizens) )

Listen we are neutral. We're open to almost everything, but giving up our friendship with Russia ain't gonna happen.
A deal on Kosovo included, NATO will control the balkans, while Serbia will be working with the East to promote their agenda within NATO.

It would be very interesting to listen to what Bob has to say on this issue. My impressions, italy & greece will be policing montenegro's skies, why not train and allow montenegro police and military to take care and have full control of montenegro's airspace? That implies for montenegro being authomatically downgraded to 3rd world country. Compare this to the fact that serbia's military are considered from Nato enough prepared to train afgani and iraqi forces. On the long term what does that mean? A similar situation to albania's chaos (Nato member since 2009) where everybody wiretapes everybody and mainly nato's old wolves wiretap nato's fresh sheep. Two recent scandals involving nato's members and how they perceive the "partnership" between nato members. Italian police mission in albania was caught entering in albania a wiretaping device not registered through our customs. Half responses from italian ambassador, half responses from our police authorities, critical voices of journalists were silenced. An israeli citizen was caught with his own wiretaping device in albania. Nobody knows on whose behalf was this israeli citizen wiretaping. So a deep analyses of costs vs benefits of Nato membership is due.

An excellent & realistic observation indeed!

And Montenegro had & continues to have a larger Serbian population compared to The Republic Of Kosova!
And for some unknown reasons? Serbia continues to try and hold TROK hostage, continues to hinder its prospects of joining the EU & NATO?

These primitivie radical policies that Serbia continues to deploy are going to have serous repercussions for her in the not to distant future, mark my words!
Serbia is trying to bite off more then she can chew!!!
