Istra is predominantly Italian as it has bilingual road signs in that region, while in Dalmatia the majority are Dalmatian and neither of these like Croats. You really have no idea about the Balkans or who lives where.

Istra predominantly Italian? Which data have you been reading? I guess using your logic Vojvodina is predominantly Hungarian due to the bilingual road signs there.

Indeed the majority in Dalmatia are Dalmatian (the hint is in the name), and although there is a strong regional identity (and regardless of their supposed attitude towards Croats elsewhere) there is no serious movement for ethnic separatism - this isnt Montenegro. Furthermore any idea of a regional knock on effect is wishful thinking on your part.

Istra may have the strongest political desire for autonomy within the country, and there may be those calling for an autonomy referendum - but please prove they have 'the kind of numbers to even sway the results', as you so put it.

You sure you arent the one who is clueless?

He is the problem for your pathetic theory. Vojvodina is 85% Serb so any referendum held would be in Belgrade’s favour. Minorities are Croats, Bunjevci and Hungarians and neither of these have kind of numbers to even sway the result.

This actually works for Serbs, but not for Croats since they have no defined border between them and the Bosniaks. Apart from a large number of Croats in Mostar the rest are scattered and each year their numbers decline as they leave because the Bosniaks are pushing them out.

Any breakup in BiH, will also exacerbate the situation in Croatia itself since there are already suggestions by the leaders of Istria to hold a referendum on more autonomy in that region similar to what is going on in northern Italy. If Istria proposal gets momentum, then next will be Dalmatia.

And to think all this started with Kosovo.

Every child male or female needs to study some form of martial arts, it is healthy and builds self image ! I hope you train some good young people over there and maybe we have some Balkan talent rising into the stars !

Albanian American - I am talking about the Bosnian situation where Slavs are divided into three religions. I know the people of Albania are not Slavic and understand your concerns about Russia but the Balkans can not go on like this for ever ! How can visitors stand such squalid conditions. Also, why don't Russians bathe regularly, everyone has a bad body odor, could it be because of your diet. The food you eat does affect how you smell. For instance, in Japan the natives smell like fish.

As if Serbia doesn't have enough problems that it would now want to open up old wounds in Bosnia and Hercegovina.

While the situation In BiH is far from perfect at least it is peaceful.

You have Kosovo negotiations, the EU negotiations, pressure from the USA, pressure from the Russians and an economy that is in horrible shape. Throw in the protests in the streets from the elderly with reduced pensions and you think now is the time to risk war and economic sanctions.

You would have to be crazy.

Slavic Brothers at each others throats for many centuries now, a poison upon all of Europe ! Indeed the majority in Dalmatia are Dalmatian (the hint is in the name), and although there is a strong regional identity (and regardless of their supposed attitude towards Croats elsewhere) there is no serious movement for ethnic separatism - this isnt Montenegro. Furthermore any idea of a regional knock on effect is wishful thinking on your part.

Istra may have the strongest political desire for autonomy within the country, and there may be those calling for an autonomy referendum - but please prove they have 'the kind of numbers to even sway the results', as you so put it.

How can visitors stand such squalid conditions. Also, why don't Russians bathe regularly, everyone has a bad body odor, could it be because of your diet. The food you eat does affect how you smell. For instance, in Japan the natives smell like fish.

This actually works for Serbs, but not for Croats since they have no defined border between them and the Bosniaks. Apart from a large number of Croats in Mostar the rest are scattered and each year their numbers decline as they leave because the Bosniaks are pushing them out.

Any breakup in BiH, will also exacerbate the situation in Croatia itself since there are already suggestions by the leaders of Istria to hold a referendum on more autonomy in that region similar to what is going on in northern Italy. If Istria proposal gets momentum, then next will be Dalmatia.

And to think all this started with Kosovo.

As if Serbia doesn't have enough problems that it would now want to open up old wounds in Bosnia and Hercegovina.

While the situation In BiH is far from perfect at least it is peaceful.

You have Kosovo negotiations, the EU negotiations, pressure from the USA, pressure from the Russians and an economy that is in horrible shape. Throw in the protests in the streets from the elderly with reduced pensions and you think now is the time to risk war and economic sanctions.

You would have to be crazy.

Every child male or female needs to study some form of martial arts, it is healthy and builds self image ! Albanian American - I am talking about the Bosnian situation where Slavs are divided into three religions. I know the people of Albania are not Slavic and understand your concerns about Russia but the Balkans can not go on like this for ever ! Balkans are being treated by the USA, England and Hitler very bad, WE ALL NEED A BREAK from this isolation, dehumanization and demonization !
