There was not any story on this website 17 years ago about Pristina dropping plans to apply for UNESCO membership. That must have been some dream that you experienced 17 years ago and you are confusing it with reality.
Gerhard, Pherhaps, Serbs don't have the courage to protect their own sites.(The Count of Kosova) ........... In civilized societies cultural and religious sites do not need to be protected. Perhaps you should have not made such an ignorant comment.
What I've heard, from informed sources, is that two of those fighter jets that Russia is sending to Serbia are the ones that Turkey shot down last year.
Impoverished people is what you say but in reality all people doing the globe use all means to move to another country for a better life including serbians. 90% of people in Kosove are still there I just been there myself and Kosovo is full of people and full of life, of course there is a need for jobs but it's the same even in Spain even though Spain is hundreds of years ahead of Kosovo. I see it as normal people moving to another country. Nobody is selling anything or spending the life savings cos they know most of them will be send back and yes lots of them have been send back so no big deal.
Mendo, there is a difference between a migrant and impoverished people selling all their possessions and claiming asylum.
Also, if you Albanians are so happy being away from Serbia then why are so many of you begging for a Serbian passport.

Well even China is independent and second world power after America but where ever you go in Europe you see thousands if not millions of Chinese people, same for Russia and other independent countries, people always immigrate/move looking for better life even your beloved serbians are everywhere in Europe, does that make you or China less independent now that people migrated? The point is that we kosovars wanted nothing to do with Serbia and we got that what happens in the future no one knows for sure. CHEERS

Just 2 weeks ago we read, "Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli claims Kosovo has secured enough votes to join UNESCO as a members" and he continued, "it is necessary to first pass two laws relating to religious equality."Guess you didn't pass those religious equality laws, Pacolli, as you're being forced to do so. One only needs to read the primitive and racist comments to appreciate why you are being isolated.Foreign soldiers are still protecting religious and cultural sites in Kosovo ... because you can't be trusted.
Micro or huge countries it does not matter, what matters is that we have nothing to do with Serbia even if we don't join organisations now or never. We are happiest we ever been. @Mendo, if Albanians are so happy then why are they leaving in droves, begging for Serbian passports and selling their life's savings and paying Serbs to snuggle them out of this narco hell hole? Sounds like paradise lol :)
It seems the UN is on Serbia's side. All those recognitions the KLA bought, through bribes of island and micro nations comes to very little. It looks like the world has woken up and the precedent set in "Kosova"*** is damaging to nation sovereignty and recognised as such.
