They are outdated as they are but the Serbian government is spending €130 million to upgrade and modernise them. It means Serbia will have the most modern airforce in the region.

These are just boxes of used parts and some instructions on how to assemble them.

They should have arrived already modernized and zero time on the engines. This just shows that Russia is not certain about Vucic and Serbia.

It will probably take a year to get them in working condition then another to modernize.
I am willing to bet that the Russians left out a few key components which Serbia will have to pay top dollar for in a few years only if they drop their application for EU membership.
