Serbia and Montenegro "main candidates to join EU - in 2025"
European Commission President Jean Claude Juncker has sent a letter of intent to the European Parliament president and the chairperson of the Council of the EU.

Actually:
* That 92.26% is the number in Ukraine who voted for independence. The US president flew to Ukraine to try and stop the vote.
* Bush tried to prop up his mate Gorbachev, but Yeltsin was too popular. Russians thre him out anyway.
* The USSR was so broke, America wanted it to stick around - to extort for US dollars. (Look how many deals USA and USSR signed before the end.)
Ukraine is a good lesson for how all the big players treat their promises. EU member states, the USA, the Russian Federation and the PRC have all betrayed or abandoned their "friends", or suddenly helped their "enemies", when it suited them.
All Serbs need to be very careful, and remember foreign powers look after their own interests first. Sign up for any economic or defense deals that are good for Serbia, and make sure they stay good for Serbia.

It's just that there is nothing at that link to look at about how the EUSSR is treating the UK or about any people daring to tell the truth about anything. Junkera's false statement to Serbia. People will be disappointed, as our environment enters the Sengen system, we will negotiate for another 8 years to get crushed and more and more lag behind others. The number of eurosceptics will now be increased, and that is why I understand a British politician who said he does not want to be in the EU, commanded by someone like Junker. DOk pronounced this for Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania and Croatia, and promised a quick entry into the Sengen system with a deadline of less than 2 years. Has Serbia been so far behind, if it is for the next 8 years, it really needs to allow China to install here. So let's see the consequences for the EU itself.

Hahaa ... obobooo .. skandal ! Still they hang the EU membership like a steak in front of your face tied to a stick, which is in turn tied to your back. Only it is THEY who think that that is a steak. To me it smells like a whip dipped in EU "chocolate"
Montenegro will join the EU before Serbia. I'd estimate 2022, five years after they entered NATO.
If Serbia join by 2025, that would be a miracle. But it is not impossible.
Ultimately, I think Montenegro will be able to reach Croatia level by 2030. Maybe they can even reach Bulgaria/Romania level, but it will be hard as BG/RO are growing extremely fast. And will grow even faster in the next years.
Serbia will lag behind for a while, but eventually the entire Balkans will equal out. And will hopefully be prosperous and united Balkanians. Like a more powerful and more united V4, who are in the European Union but always are united take on the things they don't like. That's the dream.
